Story
In 1828, few white men had seen the Rocky Mountains, those that had were the rugged few we call Mountain Men. Zach Connors was one of the best, known to the Indians as Grizzly Killer. He was both feared and respected throughout the Rockyies. Along with his dog, Jimbo, Running Wolf, his Ute partner, and their wives, they travel to Rendezvous, where they battle the dreaded Blackfeet and Zach fights for both justice and honor. After, they come face to face with a man eating grizzly, and confront those seeking revenge for the justice he dealt.

Story
Ex-military policeman Jack Reacher is a drifter. He’s just passing through Margrave, Georgia, and in less than an hour, he’s arrested for murder. Not much of a welcome. All Reacher knows is that he didn’t kill anybody. At least not here. Not lately. But he doesn’t stand a chance of convincing anyone. Not in Margrave, Georgia. Not a chance in hell.

Story
Named Best Mountain Man Series by True West Magazine, author Lane R Warenski delivers another wild ride through the west. It was just a week of travel to reach where Horse Creek met the upper Green River, the site of this year’s Rendezvous. The summer of 1835 had already been full of surprises for “Grizzly Killer” Zach Connors, along with his friends and family. Their departure for Rendezvous was delayed by a prolonged summer storm and the arrival of a man they call Scarecrow.

Dusty Rhodes was a very knowledgeable writer who had a way of making the reader feel as if they are almost a part of his stories. All of them! I have every one of this series in print and have listened to them here several times! And, I will continue to do so again and again!
I gave the performance a 4 star rating only because Gene mispronounced some of the words and names that we Texans know how to pronounce. Other than that, a very solid performance! Kudos Mr. Engene!

Story
Johnny Shooter was sentenced to hang at noon. But Judge Isaac Parker, widely known as the "Hanging Judge", made Johnny an offer he couldn't refuse. The judge made him a Deputy United State Marshal, then sent his new deputy after the worst-of-the-worst outlaws the Indian territory had to offer, with the orders not to burden the court by bringing them back for trial. Now, rumor has it that whenever outlaws gather around a campfire, the word is: "The only thing worse than standing before the Hanging Judge is hearing that Johnny Shooter is on your trail!"

Story
In the early 1870's, the young state of Texas was struggling to survive. Its vast, undeveloped land of over 260 thousand square miles became a haven for the lawless. Murderers, rustlers and renegade bands of hostile Indians and Comanchero roamed the vast wastelands of west Texas with only a narrow river separating them from the sanctuary of Mexico. One group of dedicated lawmen stood between this element and the law-abiding citizenry - the Texas Rangers. This is the story of one of those men.
