Story
What in the world would you do if tomorrow you woke up to find that the United States power grid was gone, destroyed by an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) or Coronal Mass Ejection (CME)? How would you take care of your family when they got ill? With the power grid gone, hospitals will be on backup power but will shut down eventually, when the fuel is gone, and no gas stations can operate with no power. Doctors' offices, pharmacies, and clinics will shut down and divert patients to the already overran hospitals still in operation. Do you have a stockpile of medicine both non-emergency and ...

While the author claims to be a graduate of medical science, my fear is that people will listen and choose to self diagnose and self medicate based on herbs. Research EVERYTHING!! Especially with A.I. manufacturing information to make the request for information happy! The author mentioned Echinacea and ragweed, however those allergic to ragweed should also beware goldenseal. Again, Research EVERYTHING from multiple sources and use lifelong studies to supplement your knowledge. Go back to basics with Culpepper, Kloss, Gladstar, Weed, etc. & build a reference library. You’ll be glad you have both knowledge and books at hand, as well as a Physician desk reference for conflicting medical reactions. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

What a life, sacrifice and legacy!
Reviewed: 04-26-24
Never before had I heard anything about the life of a game warden/ k9 handler that explained the existence and true nature of the job and the bond between the handler and the dogs. After 9/11 I’d met a volunteer and his K9 who searched the wreckage of the twin towers for cadavers. The dog had to retire due to depression. It changed him. You could see it. But what didn’t realize until this book was the cost& control that the handlers would have to exhibit. I didn’t think of the danger day in, day out, and what it truly meant. Thank you, Sir, for your service and your story! Your 25 years of service was a lifetime of sacrifice worthy attention! Thank you for helping us to understand!! God bless you!!

The author/narrator’s gentle voice and way leads you to discover a peaceful path of healing. No judgement. No separatism. Just healing found through story, indigenous culture and a simpler path long lost in western civilization. I will listen to this again! So peaceful! So healing. Great insight never tells someone NOT to seek medical help when needed, but how the two can exist within one belief system. Well done!

Story
What's really going into commercial dog food? The answer is horrifying. Big Kibble is big business: $75 billion globally. A handful of multinational corporations dominate the industry and together own as many as 80 percent of all brands. This comes as a surprise to most people, but what’s even more shocking is how lax the regulations and guidelines are around these products. The guidelines - or lack thereof - for pet food allow producers to include ever-cheaper ingredients and create ever-larger earnings.

This scientific background & research of pet food preparation, processing, & recalls terrified me in the early 2000s. Then the event of DCM shook me even further. I have been feeding bone broth to my girl since a pup to prevent hip problems in her older years but now I prepare more & more food for her myself. This book enlightened me as to the ACTUAL selection and preparation of kibble and the lack of regulation that governs the safety of it. Kudos to a well written, narrated book with the answers & not just the questions about Big Kibble and what YOU can do to improve your pet’s health and wellbeing.
