Story
Seventeen-year-old Truth Medici scavenges for scraps to eat; weathers his parents' abuse; and battles derelicts, killer pimps, and demons in the soul-crushing stretch of desperation he calls home. Even the cops steer clear of the toxic Harban slums. But just across the canal live the magical elite, with their wealth, flying carpets, gorgeous mages, and custom spell beasts, all thanks to the patronage of the almighty Starbrite Corporation. Getting there, and taking his three vulnerable siblings with him, is Truth's only dream.

Story
James Lyle, Anesh Patel, and Alanna Byrne have spent much of the past year exploring a secret realm in which the phrase "cubicle hell" isn't just a metaphor. Stalked like prey by sentient staplers and hostile computer hardware, the trio has managed to amass a collection of magical abilities that are rapidly adding up to something more significant. But they aren't content to just sit back and take it easy; rather, they hope to harness their newfound power to benefit humanity.

Story
Well, this year, after the Spring Planting season, I’m really gonna relax and put down roots. It’s the slow life for me. Sure, the talking animals and cultivators coming to live with me are a bit weird, but this year everything is gonna be basically normal. There definitely won’t be any Heavenly Tribulations, ancient formations, or cultivator issues to deal with . . .

Story
Ever since James Lyle found an alternate dimension hidden in the stairwell of his workplace, things have been, well, weird. For one thing, when he’s not working the night shift, he’s battling killer mail carts and ravenous swarms of sticky notes. For another, he’s dealing with some very complex and intense emotions for several of his friends. Meanwhile, his parents have offloaded his younger sister on him. As if all this weren’t enough, James’s voyages into the dungeon world seem to be having a strange effect on the world in which he actually lives.

ok, I'll admit the poly relationships and such aren't my cup of tea - everyone's got their own preferences right?
that said, the relationship stuff is super tame and doesn't distract from the story in the least. loved the world building and character development, especially that of the familiars like Rufus (my favorite little stapler out of the bunch)
looking forward to where book 3 takes us!
author and narrator did a great job and I'm excited for the next book! not to mention reading other stuff from this author *cough* kitty cat kill sat *cough* (such a great name)

just wow.
I didn't think Matt could top his previous books but this one absolutely blew me away.
Equal parts action, world expansion and character building .. this book had it all!
Sure the book is nearly 30 hours long but it felt more like a third of that. I was so engaged with this story, there were times it literally brought me to tears (both happy and sad).
NGL, Matt really knows how to bring out those emotions in his readers. I don't think I have EVER been so stoked for the next book in a series as I am with the upcoming faction wars - it'll be a very hard wait, I may have to resort to finally taking advantage of my patreon and reading ahead as he writes the next book!!!
SBT and Jeff knocked this out of the park. the guest appearances from Travis and Patrick was such a surprise. Travis playing Raoul was absolutely perfect and getting to hear Patrick as Carl's dad was so perfect I.. I didn't realize it was something I needed until I heard it.
While I'm waiting for the next book, I'll have to pick up some Donut Hole merch XD.
seriously, well done, all of you. This series has and always will be my favorite series of this genre, if not of all time. Get ready Crawlers, the next floor is waiting, the lines have been drawn, now get out there and Kill KILL KILL!

As management reels from the unexpected conclusion of the seventh level, the surviving crawlers stumble onto the eighth and find themselves scattered. It’s a map based on Earth’s final days before the collapse, where ethereal, intangible ghosts of humanity go about their lives, oblivious of the impending doom. Living amongst these ghosts are monsters based in Earth lore. “Legendary” creatures tied to the geographical location they inhabit. Each team of crawlers is given a task: Find and capture six of these beasts.

Story
Killing the sadistic warlord known as the Dog Tongue took everything Gus Berry had, including the woman he loved. Now, all he wants is to get away from the bloody scene of their final showdown. But when he heads west in a stolen truck, a brutal snowstorm forces him to turn back—and seek refuge in the Dog Tongue’s former headquarters. Though it’s littered with human carnage, the abandoned luxury hotel has a lot to offer a guy like Gus. But in addition to soft beds and working toilets, he encounters still-lurking dangers both living and undead.

Thank you Keith, this has been a wonderful ride. I can honestly say that of the many series I've read, Mountain Man has been my favorite, and it will always hold a dear place in my heart. I look forward to hearing more of Gus, but I would love to see how Collie and Wallace make their world their own. It's rare that a series as long as yours (Seven books, what?!) makes it this far and still maintains the exceptional writing and attention to detail that yours has, Thank you for all you have given us.
I want to also thank RC Bray for his amazing work narrating this series. You, at least for me, will ALWAYS be the voice of Gus. I sincerely hope that if any series ever has the chance to be made into a series, whether animated, movie or show, it's this series. I'd hope if it's animated, we get YOU RC Bray to voice Gus. You helped bring his character off the written page and into my mind like no one else could.
Keith, I'm sure there were points you could have stopped and ended Gus's journey but you've truly given Gus and your readers something special. I look forward to adding the rest of this series to my book collection and will never stop at the chance to praise your work and suggest people pick up the series. Thank you again on behalf of Gus, your many readers, and all of the many, Many characters we were given the chance to meet, love, hate, and root for along the way. I've listened to and read all of your work to date and have enjoyed it all. I look forward to and will eagerly await what you publish next, mountain man or no.
Thank You.
Ps. I don't get emotional much, but darn it, you made me tear up there at the end! I could never say it enough, but one more time, thank you and remember folks, crap wrap is the most important resource in the Apocalypse! Red Rye!

It's a real shame to see this book getting bad reviews,
The writing is solid, and the narration fits the story SO well. I'm a fan of this type of horror. Quite often, though, the writing or narration doesn't allow me to immerse myself in the story due to mistakes and such.
The author avoids many of these common pitfalls by keeping a lot of the specifics of the infection away from the reader. This would usually bother me to a degree, but the author does a great job of approaching this realistically from his characters' perspectives.
ok, enough of this. take my money! I gotta go buy book 2 and 3!
