Story
Massachusetts Chief Medical Examiner Kay Scarpetta has just returned from working one of the worst mass murders in U.S. history when she’s awakened at an early hour by Detective Pete Marino. A body, oddly draped in an unusual cloth, has just been discovered inside the sheltered gates of MIT and it’s suspected the identity is that of missing computer engineer Gail Shipton, last seen the night before at a trendy Cambridge bar. It appears she’s been murdered, mere weeks before the trial of her $100 million lawsuit against her former financial managers.

I didn’t think it would ever end. May be the worse book I’ve ever completed.

Story
As an FBI profiler, it's Lilah Love's job to think like a killer. And she is very good at her job. When a series of murders surface - the victims all stripped naked and shot in the head - Lilah's instincts tell her it's the work of an assassin, not a serial killer. But when the case takes her back to her hometown in the Hamptons and a mysterious but unmistakable connection to her own life, all her assumptions are shaken to the core.

Ends in the middle

I didn’t really like the story, but I stuck with it just to get through the book and see how it ended. Much to my dismay, the book ended in the middle of the murder case. I guess to get you to read the next in the series. I normally like series of books, But I expect some resolution to each story. Very disappointing.

Narration is horrible

I liked the story but as many other people have commented the narration is atrocious. I can’t believe audible released It with such horrible narration.

Story
He's not kept a diary for decades but here, in Dog Days, Andrew Cotter draws inspiration from the great Samuel Pepys; like him, he bears witness to the extraordinary everyday as the world tilts on its axis in our own unsettling era. And so, with Olive and Mabel at his side - actually, dawdling in the long grass or sleeping upside down - Andrew takes a clear-eyed, often hilarious walk through a year that encompasses all of life from the crushingly mundane to the decidedly odd.

I love the author’s humor on any topic. And, of course, I especially loved the dog stories.

Story
A movie director is charged with murdering an actress during sex, and then staging her death to make it look like a suicide. In a seemingly unrelated case, a loner is murdered, leaving the sheriff's department with no clues. One unsettling revelation after another leaves a retired FBI agent and an L.A. detective thinking they've unmasked a most frightening killer with almost inconceivable calculation.

Not exactly a Harry Bosch book
Reviewed: 03-26-19
Good story but Bosch isn’t the main character which was confusing at first since it’s billed as a Bosch book.

Mattie's not listening...until his gentle touch ignites a white-hot fusion, and she gives in. But Hugh's past is catching up with them.

Dated

Story is very dated and somewhat inappropriate in today’s world. Despite it appearing to be a recent recording, I think it was written in the early 90s.
