Story
Three South Yorkshire friends, all on the cusp of 40, fall pregnant at the same time following a visit to an ancient fertility symbol. For Helen, it's a dream come true, although her husband is not as thrilled about it as she had hoped. Not only wrestling with painful ghosts of the past, Helen has to deal with the fact that her outwardly perfect marriage is crumbling before her eyes. For Janey, it is an unmitigated disaster as she has just been offered the career break of a life-time.

When married couple Fern and Aiden have a windfall, their reactions could not be more different. While Fern is content to pay off their mortgage and build a nest egg before starting a family, her husband is set on travelling the world. Fern’s not much of a backpacker so, before she knows it, the idea of a ‘marriage gap year’ takes shape. And, as Aiden heads off to the wilds of Australia, Fern chooses the more restful Provence for her year out.

As a published novelist, Lila Rose has been writing about fictional weddings all her life. I so enjoyed this story. The characters were well done in the narration! The author actually had me giggling and even laughing out loud many times throughout the story. First audiobook with this author, and definitely looking for more.

Story
Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

Could not get past the narration
Reviewed: 12-17-20
I am an avid series reader/audio person. This is probably one of my all-time favorite series and author. To get to the last (most recently) released book in this series and have such a drastic change in narration style is so upsetting. I have tried several times to get into this story and I cannot make it past chapter 5. It isn't the story but the telling, reading of it. So saddened. At least I have now learned to always listen to the sample before buying another title.
Please find a new narrator, and to Angie Hickman, I apologise but your style just doesn't suit this series.
