Story
All the world's a stage...even when you're teleported to a new world. Struggling actress Cara O'Sullivan was walking down the street of Galway one moment, and the next, she was in an ancient tomb in a faraway world. Alone in the dark with her cell phone as her last tenuous connection to home, Cara sings her favorite song. To her astonishment, her song casts a spell of light into the world...and from the depths, something hears her. Challenged by a ghostly knight, a tragic necromancer, and hordes of undead, can a young woman who does not believe in heroes become one herself?

Story
Of course, if there were only one thing under Liscor, there would be far less to fear. However, the dungeon continues to be a threat. At the same time, Goblins continue to roam northern Izril, but not all of them are as hostile to people as Tremborag or the Goblin Lord. Will the Unseen Emperor of Riverfarm make that distinction, however? A reckoning is coming as old faces and new reemerge. And all the while, The Wandering Inn is still serving food and respite and even plays to adventurers and Antinium alike. But something is coming from the dungeons. And it—they—are hungry.

I can’t believe I waited so long to plunge into the Wandering Inn series. It worked out as I have spent the last 2 months binging all of the audiobooks and crying, cheering, laughing and grieving with all of the denizens of this fantastical world. And I intend to listen to it again.

Sides have been taken, lives are on the line, and Ainsley has no doubt which sister must be queen. She'll do whatever is necessary to take down the soulless Beatrix. Even if that means joining forces with angry battle nuns, irritating monks, and overbearing centaurs.

Story
After the near-destruction of the High Halls, Corporal Kaylin Neya is looking forward to resuming her patrol. But once more an empty Tower stands in Elantra, and Kaylin's companions won't let an advantage slip by. They see the Tower as a base to fight Shadow; the Dragon Bellusdeo, as a protection for the cohort; Sedarias, as a potential hoard. And others are interested as well. Kaylin knows when she's in over her head. Claiming a Tower is not the future she wants. And the Tower has strict requirements—ones that daunt even the Dragons and the Barrani.

Started with book one and listened through Conflict. As the credits are spoke, I think to myself, I’m going to do this again in a few years. Maybe upon second and third listens I will be able to grasp more of the complex Wordverse and not want to punch a dragon or two. There are so many potential storylines from here. I hope my positives intentions to write faster reach Sagara and her keyboard with profound results.

This is the Sci-fi of my youth - a tome that is in a finite time frame with a full cast of complex characters and a ship load of action. As the last chapter ended I knew I would listen to the book again. And damn, Paolini can write. I would like to gush but it would be inadequate to craftsmanship of conversations, vocabulary and drama. I am
In awe of Hale as the narrator...she nailed aliens, military arses and ship minds. I almost want to play video games to her narrate again.

The first book sucked me into the storyline. I hung around book 2 through seemingly endless conversations and sexy business. And the finale - cue balloon deflating noise. So. Much. Mind chatter. And contrived guilt. And egregious, long love scenes. And the ending made my teeth hurt.
So much potential unfulfilled.

Maya and I are just trying to have a girls’ weekend in Vegas. Kick back, take in some shows, then Gabrielle decides to tag along. Now there’s a dragon slayer after Mick, gladiatorial games from hell, and a Vegas hotel full of trapped demons. When Gabrielle and I charge in to assist, we don’t realize we’re awakening an ancient and terrible evil. This evil is now after Gabrielle and her all-powerful magic, and it’s going to take me, Mick, Colby, and the rest of the dragons to keep my little sister safe.

Interesting but sloppy
Reviewed: 08-15-20
After binging the entire series for the second time, I am over the voices the narrator used. The Sheriff always sounds snide and insincere. Janet is portrayed as whiny in dialogue. And others are cultural caricatures. The entire series was focused on Janet until this finale and then a lot of POVs were introduced. And Gabrielle’s sub story muddled the plot.
I loved the small slices of Navajo culture and spirituality.

Story
When everything is on the line, how far will you go to protect those you love? What if the cost of saving them is your soul? Would you pay it? I thought I was prepared for what was coming; that if I made sacrifices, I could win this game. I’m no longer afraid of the darkness or the monsters that hide in the shadows. I’ve become what I feared most, allowing it in to protect those I loved. Sometimes it takes a monster to win. Sometimes to fight monsters, you have to become one. My only fear is…can I come back from it?

Where is the strong female character? The first sexual encounters read like assault and MF does not even object! Aside from the really awful narration and immature word usage, this is an ugly trope that sickens me.
