I'm sorry, how did this audiobook get so many positive reviews? I couldn't get through chapter 1, I barley got through the intro. I hope I can return it.
The author narrates, which was a bad decision. His voice is nails on a chalkboard. It reads like Ned Flanders doing ultra low budget infomercials at 3am, and if you go to his blog right now, you'll get a free happily ever after.
I wouldn't be able to do 7hrs of that toy ears. I should have listened to the sample. Please do that before considering buying.

The best part of the book is at the end of the closing chapter... If you get caught manipulating someone, just apply more manipulation tactics on them.

The only thing I did like was the narration cameos. Most of them were really bad.

Excellent information with contradictory nuances
Reviewed: 10-06-18
The delivery of the content both the reader and structure of the information are both excellent. The ideas and theories are interesting and logical. I do think there are points made it in the book where biases that the author had pointed out, at least from my interpretation of the information seemed to conflict with other ideas mentioned on the book as well. However, maybe while digesting the information I missed parts that would clear up my understanding of ideas portrayed.
I think this was worth spending the time to listen, and I'll definitely listen to it again to refresh my memory and understand some of the concepts better. I'm sure time and experience will change my viewpoint as well.

Worth a listen, for the most part.

The information is solid. Some of it I think wasn't as useful because I recognize that I do already use some of the advice in some situations but over all I think it was good to hear it all.
My only complaint... The reason I struggled to finish and probably won't listen to it again is the narrator. His voice I don't think is right for the type of book this is. I'd would expect to hear this guy announcing a minor league baseball game before narrating a book with this type of content. He isn't bad and I'm sure there are books his style would work much better for but not this one. Don't let that stop you from listening, you might not mind or even agree.

Solid book and content. Definitely worth listening to. Unsurprisingly I noticed the trump campaign had used several of the tactics of influence mentioned in this book and they are pretty obvious in hindsight. This information should be made mandatory to learn in school so we are able to understand when people are using tactics of manipulation.
