Some say that to change the world you must first burn it down. Now that belief will be tested in the crucible of revolution: The Breakers and Burners have seized the levers of power, the smoke of riots has replaced the smog of industry, and all must submit to the wisdom of crowds. With nothing left to lose, Citizen Brock is determined to become a new hero for the new age, while Citizeness Savine must turn her talents from profit to survival before she can claw her way to redemption.

The guy is simply the best writer out there, so detailed but so much violence. Political intrigue, surprises only the great George RR could imagine, oh and more violence. The heroes like video game characters, with jaw-clenching, heart ripped out of your chest strength, the magicians real magicians. A 10/10 on every scale and Pacey is a master also. Dive in (......also book track distracting at first then great).

The sequel to the number one Audible Best Seller Earthcore, Mount Fitz Roy continues the tale of Patrick O’Doyle and Bertha Lybrand, who were part of the horror show that occurred far below the mountains of Utah. They learn that the "mother of all motherlodes” discovered there was not unique, that there is another deposit similar to it three miles beneath the towering peak of Cerro Chaltén on the disputed border between Chile and Argentina. O'Doyle, a middle-aged former member of a disgraced black-ops unit, gets his aging team back together to go after this fortune.

Write from the POV of the dragon or the enemy (see Rodorf in the Wolfric series)... this is the only way to write. Too much SF is written from good guy POV see just about anything read by RC Bray and that’s garbage even if the character is flawed. 5/5 to everything Duncan Hamilton

Every man serving in Vietnam was "Every Mother's Son". In 1968, the Marine helicopter crews during the 77-day Siege of Khe Sanh risked everything every day to keep the surrounding Marine hill positions alive and viable. The North Vietnamese Army committed more than 20,000 troops to destroying the Marine hill positions and the Khe Sanh Combat Base. The small Marine outposts were transformed into highly effective kill zones, as the enemy slammed the landing zones with rockets, mortars, artillery, and automatic weapons fire.

Story
In the grand tradition of John Keegan's enduring classic The Face of Battle comes a searing, unforgettable chronicle of war through the eyes of the American soldiers who fought in three of our most iconic battles: Bunker Hill, Gettysburg, and Iwo Jima. This is not a book about how great generals won their battles, nor is it a study in grand strategy. Men of War is instead a riveting, visceral, and astonishingly original look at ordinary soldiers under fire.

Literally in the soldiers shoes, all the action recounted. One of my favorites bc it isn’t just regiments moving around on a map. Macro view is not what I’m looking for. Excellent job giving just enough overview and the gritty details. Well written great narrator.
