About this listen

13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened In Benghazi: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!

The harrowing, true account from the brave men on the ground who fought back during the Battle of Benghazi.

13 Hours presents, for the first time ever, the true account of the events of September 11, 2012, when terrorists attacked the US State Department Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA station called the Annex in Benghazi, Libya. A team of six American security operators fought to repel the attackers and protect the Americans stationed there. Those men went beyond the call of duty, performing extraordinary acts of courage and heroism, to avert tragedy on a much larger scale. This is their personal account, never before told, of what happened during the thirteen hours of that now-infamous attack.

13 Hours sets the record straight on what happened during a night that has been shrouded in mystery and controversy. Written by New York Times best-selling author Mitchell Zuckoff, this riveting audiobook takes listeners into the action-packed story of heroes who laid their lives on the line for one another, for their countrymen, and for their country.

13 Hours is a stunning, eye-opening, and intense audiobook—but most importantly, it is the truth. The story of what happened to these men—and what they accomplished—is unforgettable.

Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

A crisply written, gripping narrative of the events of the battle in Benghazi that adds considerable detail to the public record of what happened there...[an] authoritative account."—The Wall Street Journal

The book is well written and detailed. Knowing that it's a true story makes the details hard to listen to at times. This tragedy should have never happened. Just do yourself a favor and read it, so you can see so for yourself. Thank God that we have heroes like these men in the world today.

These amazing men insisted on a none political story. But history puts the blaim squarely where it belongs. The O'boma and Clinton administration could have acted early and saved the lives of the ambassador and the brave men who died defending the CIA outpost. They, Clinton and O'boma, watched in real time and did NOTHING. I recommend that you rent or buy the movie version and see what these guys did. It's hard to imagine that kind of selfless bravery.

Incredible True Story

A very real look at the events, emotions and struggles of what happened on that day in Benghazi, that helps/reminds us of what our soldiers, special forces and contractors do and have to deal with emotionally for life.
Makes us realize how blessed we are to live in the USA.

Very well written and narrated.

I wish more audiobooks did this much effort in the production and mainly the sound and audio quality as this book does. When they’re getting to the firefighters, they have gun fire in the background when something attempts is going on. They have intense music when they’re talking about being out in a crowded street. They have crowded street noises like a city. I’m gonna be envious of this quality of production and other audiobooks. Also amazing story.

The projection and sound quality

Fantastic storytelling. This book left me speechless. Putting aside the politics and just focused on the events and the heroes.
