About this listen

Four women - four friends - share a determination to stop a killer who has been stalking newlyweds in San Francisco. Each one holds a piece of the puzzle: Lindsay Boxer is a homicide inspector in the San Francisco Police Department, Claire Washburn is a medical examiner, Jill Bernhardt is an assistant D.A., and Cindy Thomas just started working the crime desk of the San Francisco Chronicle.

But the usual procedures aren't bringing them any closer to stopping the killings. So these women form a Women's Murder Club to collaborate outside the box and pursue the case by sidestepping their bosses and giving one another a hand.

1st to Die is the start of a blazingly fast-paced and sensationally entertaining new series of crime thrillers.

Unbearable Narration

I have no idea if this was a good, well-written story or not. I can't even tell you the plot or describe the main characters. The narration was that bad. Both the male and the female narrators somehow managed to have voice that were both expressionless and cringingly over the top.

I couldn't bear it any longer... into the DNF (did not finish) collection it went. Maybe some day, when the bad taste is out of my mouth, I'll read the Kindle version. For now, I've given a courtesy three-star rating.

Great first to a great series

I started reading this series years ago then couldn't find the rest of the series. I love this series and was excited to find it in audiobook form. I can't wait to finish the series.

Disappointed with foul language.

My first James Patterson. Was really hoping I loved it. Story was great! Loved the suspense and twisted ending. I just don't like listening to books with foul language so I will NOT be buying anymore. Disappointed.
