About this listen

Kevin Leman wants you to know that men are less complicated than you give them credit for. At the core of men, you'll find a sensitive, emotional being that needs to feel loved, respected and needed. The more you understand and are sensitive to the fears, anxieties, and insecurities that make the men in your life behave the way they do, the stronger your relationships will be.©2007 Kevin Leman (P)2008 Oasis Audio Love, Dating & Attraction Marriage & Long-Term Partnerships Marriage & Relationships Psychology Women's Christian Living

Some incredible nuggets of wisdom.

I got this book for my wife and, when she didn't listen to it, I decided to see if it was worth the effort. It was and I'm trying again to convince her to listen to it. The book was full of a lot of truth but may have painted with too broad a brush in some instances. Many of the truths applied to me and even helped me understand myself better, but some didn't apply to me personally. That's not to say they aren't true for other men, just not for me. I think this book is eye opening with regards to the differences between men and women.

You need to hear this..

Great advice given in easy terms. My relationship was struggling and honestly I think this single audible book put things in perspective and helped me to make some great changes for the better.

Wonderful Book on Relationship

Books on the genders can not be easy to write with the differences related to upbringing, experiences, and other inside and outside influences, but I consider this a wonderful book on men and relationships. This Bible-based surperbly written book not only discusses why men are the way they are, but is also very insightful on some of the reasons behind the actions of women and children. Of course, not everything will exactly match your man (or you) but I think you'll find lots of useful information that is narrated in a warm-hearted and amusing way that holds your interest to the end!

Duuuuuude.....

Would you try another book from Kevin Leman and/or the narrator?

no. I'm annoyed.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Something not about stereotypes.

Would you be willing to try another one of the narrator’s performances?

No. I'm Annoyed.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from 7 Things He'll Never Tell You but You Need to Know?

The entire beginning where he's going on and on and on about what a duuuuude he is.

Any additional comments?

Are all men Exactly The Same? Why yes. According to this author. They are. How simple. Men have feelings. They are gross. They are simple. All of them are exactly the same. Geez. If I had only known.........

"if I do this its because I'm a man"

stopped listening about 3 hours in. the main message is, "I do this because I'm a man, I can't help it, so put up with my sh!t. If you do this, and you hurt my feelings, you are a woman and should know better." We don't need to teach women to put up with men's excuses, we need to teach men to do better.

at first, he makes excuses of men not spending as much time with you as you'd like, saying "time with the children is seen as time with you since they're an extension of you"
THEN when he talks about the business trip where he had nice things planned for his wife he says "time with you and the kids is not the same as time alone with you. the children are more like 'things' "
so which one is it?? he's just trying to condition women to let men have it both ways. not going to happen
