About this listen

At the age of eight years old, I lost two things: my parents and something that most people take for granted. It was at that moment I began to experience the world differently from everyone else. I accepted my fate, living my life to the fullest and the best way I know how. Giving up on love was something I had to do because men couldn't cope with my condition. Then I met him and he changed everything for me. A smart, sexy, and shattered man who hid in the shadows of his own tragedy. A man who kept the better part of himself concealed away from the world. I wanted to show him that life was more than how he saw it. My name is Aubrey Callahan and I am blind.

The moment I laid eyes on her, I wanted her. She was beautiful, uncomplicated, and one night was all I needed. People referred to me as "The Iceman" because I was controlling, ruthless, and didn't give a damn about people's feelings. I was a user and the only person I protected was myself. Then something happened after a single night with her. The feelings and nightmares that I buried years ago began to resurface. Even though I was a billionaire who could have anything in the world, I couldn't stop the demons that lived inside me. Aubrey couldn't see me for who I really was and she deserved better than me. My name is Ethan Klein and I am a destroyed man.

Fascinating story!

This audiobook deals with a disillusioned rich man and a optimistic blind woman. They have a relationship that is both sweet and sexy, and when he arranges something he thinks is for her benefit it backfires on him. There is a happy ending however. He's just fascinated by her, which I see as an integral part of the story. The narration was very good.

The taming of the Iceman

Ethan ‘Iceman’ Kline is ruthless at work and heartless with women. He has no time or inclination for a relationship...then he meets a beautiful, quiet woman who challenges him and makes him feel things that he’d rather not. The kicker is that she’s visually impaired.
Aubrey lost her sight at 8yo in the car accident that killed her parents. She grew up with her aunt and uncle and now lives in an apartment across the hall from her aunt. She loves her teaching job and her small group of friends. Then she meets an intriguing man at her bff art exhibition. A dinner date ends in bed and then she doesn’t hear from Ethan again...until she runs into him at a party and he offers to take her home. Without giving much more away, let’s just say that the road to love for this pair, is anything but smooth! Great story with beautiful HEA.

A beautiful sight

This is one of the best books that I have ever heard! I enjoyed the story so much. I am legally blind and was told I would soon be blind. Not such a bad thing and it could be a lot worse so this story really made me happy. Thank you for such a wonderful book and I will look forward for I more books by this author and these narrators!

Sight in the world of darkness....

This story was so meaningful. Aubrey, who is blind sees the world full of color. Ethan who has his sight see the world full of darkness. Amazing how 2 people see the world completely different given their circumstances. Sandi Lynn did an awesome job writing Aubrey's character. One of my favorites from her.

Couldn't get past male narrator's voice.

I gotta be honest I only listened to first chapter so not sure how the story is, I will read instead of listening to it. I can't get past the male narrator's voice - be sure to listen to a sample before buying. His voice is best for suspense/mystery than romance.
