Short and Sweet..

Any additional comments?

Short and Sweet..

Alice, the female lead, and Daniel, the male lead are just what the other was looking for and are perfect for each other.

This was an enjoyable read similar to the author's other books.

The story line kept me entertained and I look forward to the rest of the series.

I keep waiting for Miss Karla Gracey to write a full length mail order bride story.

Alan Taylor did well with the narration.

Nice PG Rated Western Historical Romance

Alice's sister, Maggie seems to have found a perfect life out west; the result of a mail order bride arrangement. With some reluctance and more than a little hope, she answers a MOB.

Daniel has everything a an could want...except those areas needing a feminine touch.- cooking, babies, etc.

Will this unlikely duo hit it off or will their differences be too much to establish a relationship?

Totally enjoyable

Karla Gracey continues the Sun River Brides series of novellas with Daniel and Alice. Alice travels to Montana with her friend Ellen to help out Maggie with her bakery. Daniel is so excited that she has answered his letter and is willing to come out. They get to know each other, but Daniel is hiding something from his past that he just cannot get over. Will Alice's love be able to pull him through? This surprise epilogue will make you want the next chapter to come out soon! Never a dull moment in Sun River!

Alan Taylor continues to bring his warm voice to the story. He brings all these mail order bride novellas to life, making you feel completely at home.

A Bride for Daniel

Enjoyed listening to this book. It was a lovely story of true love no matter what your past is. I liked the way Alice stood up to Lewis's mother. Full of courage and strength

An enjoyable short and sweet listen

Any additional comments?

This is another short and sweet clean read in the Sun River Brides series. I found it very enjoyable but was a little thrown with Daniel turn of events. I did not understand why he turned the way he did but was glad to see him turn around again.

The author gives you a story of Alice who isn’t happy with her life she truly doesn’t know what is missing. When Ellen who is a long time friend talks her into going as a mail order bride she will go as long as she goes with her. They decide she doesn’t have to marry unless she wants to that this is just what she needs to find meaning in her life. The author gives you a very short story of misgivings, pain, sorrow, starting over, and forgiveness.

Mr. Taylor does a wonderful job of narration from the many different characters to the feel of emotions. You never are in doubt just who is talking or what they are feeling. I found both his female and male voices to be a delight from the strong male to the soft female you could really feel the pain, sorrow, and happiness he gives them. I heard no background noise or any places where the audio is louder than the chapters before. His voice is strong and clear giving you a delightful read. I could not find one thing I didn’t like and enjoy about his performance. He really brought this audio to life for me making me feel for each character. If any breaks where taken I could not tell he gave a very good listen. I found this narrator to be very talented. I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series with him.

Alice really pulled on my heart string when she was ready to go through with it and Daniel backed out which left her confused. She thought they were doing so well but Daniel is hiding a secret that is about to play a visit which just might change how he sees things. It was an enjoyable listen which I am very much looking forward to listening to the rest of this series.

Sun River Brides, Book 6

Short and sweet. I love mail order bride stories and this one is really good. A story of love and forgiveness about Daniel who finds his bride through the paper then, because of his past, decides it's best not to marry.

Alan Tayor's narration is wonderful as he breathes life into an excellent story.

A Bride for Daniel

“This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.”

A sweet clean western romance. Book 6 in this series. Alice becomes a mail order bride but when she arrives Daniel doesn't think he can go through with marriage. The surprise encounter from the past makes the choice. I enjoyed this story, but language felt a bit stiff and formal in places.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.

When off the rails at the end

I was completely enjoying this clean, sweet story until the last fifteen minutes, then I'm completely at a loss for the 180 Daniel takes. The totally unnecessary drama killed it for me. Sigh... And it had so much promise.
