Publisher's summary

In the high stakes, ego-driven world of aviation, this is an extraordinary best-selling true story of how a level-headed, self-deprecating woman with an aviation addiction finds herself in jail, her baby ripped from her arms, her piloting career taken away, and every feasible exit leading to a very dark place.

Lady Pilots rock!

It is wonderful to read about a female pilot. Always. Thanks for sharing your story!

Not What I thought

This started out as though it was going to be about a female and the struggles in a male dominated industry. It was more about a female that made poor decision in a relationship and how she was abused!! Reallyy did not like the book and really felt sorry for the protagonist.

No what you think it’s going to be.

Overall, I found this book to be a huge disappointment. I bought it hoping for some interesting aviation stories told from a woman’s perspective, and for the first half of the book, that’s what I got.

Then it degenerated into a story about her horrible marriage and divorce, and how she threw away her spot in the left seat to stay home with her kid.

Instead of someone a fellow aviatrix can aspire to be, she’s contributed to the problem by displaying exactly why it’s so hard for women to get hired in this industry: it’s assumed we will all quit to breed.
