A modern romantic retelling of a classic Christmas favorite

Ebony Cruse is a romance writer with no time for fun - much less dating. When an old friend, Blaze O'Carroll, stops by to ask her to the Christmas Creek Gala Ball, Ebony refuses to go since she has a deadline. Ebony dives into her work in progress and is surprised when characters from her past, present, and future come to life. When Ebony sees Blaze in trouble, she has a big decision to make. Will the Christmas Creek magic give her and Blaze a Christmas worth remembering?

Christmas Creek romances are a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. They are sassy stand-alone romances centered around a town which celebrates Christmas all year round. Each story has a happy ending and can be heard in any order, but of course, they are more fun if heard together.

Deck the Hearts, book 1: Can Holly’s jolly Christmas spirit help Grinchy Gordon Gills save the town of Christmas Creek?

Her Christmas Chance, book 2: A woman with cerebral palsy and her tomcat disagree about the attractive ex-con living next door. Will a dose of Christmas magic reach through his dark secrets?

A Christmas Creek Carol, book 3: A reclusive writer, Ebony Cruse, is given a one-star review on her life by characters in her past, present, and future.

A sweet rendition of a classic with a twist

Christmas Creek is a quaint little town where it's Christmas all year. The residents dress in Vintage attire and the Holidays are spectacular. Ebony has come home for the first time in years since her mom's death to work on her writing which seems to be stuck. But instead of the peace and quiet, she thought she would have she keeps getting interrupted by the residents and then face to face with her past, Blaze o'Carroll. She didn't know Blaze was home on leave.
This is a sweet little story that takes us through Ebony's past, present and future in a unique way. Then there is another twist near the end that adds a touch of drama. I loved how Ebony's characters were sort of characters as well, talking to her as she wrote them. ( probably something only a writer would get LOL)
I liked Trei Taylor's narration. she gave Ebony a solid voice and the story good emotion. The pacing is good and it never felt like I was just being read to.
If you like authors, military men, dogs, Christmas romance and some sweet romance you will like this one.

Sweet and Romantic

This was a sweet, romantic story and a quick listen with good narration and wonderful characters. I really enjoyed how the author gave us a look into the workings of the mind of an author and how characters come to life. There was a good lesson to be learned about the importance of people in our lives. I really enjoyed listening to this story and thought the narrator did a very good job with the narration. I received a free copy and am providing an unbiased review.

Modernistic Portrayal of A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Creek Carol is a revised version of the classic christmas story A Christmas Carol. A sweet novella that takes place in the small town of Christmas Creek. We get a glimpse of what's in a author's mind which is intriguing. With a Christmas Creek twist to keep you enthralled. I love the original classic and I lobmve this modish version too. The cover screams Christmas! I love it!
A perfect fireside listen with hot Chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows.
Narrator Trei Taylor voice is boisterous and brimming with sentiment.

Nuggets of happiness

An early Christmas present for me, this story come just at the right time. These nuggets that Rachelle Ayala writes always put me in the best moods. Ebony is a writer who has been having difficulty continuing her story. When he "brother", Blaze comes home for leave, those feelings of attraction and love come out. But there is baggage they both carry, hurt feelings from childhood circumstances and of course work that gets in the way. This modern day retelling of Dicken's Christmas Carol is spot on to the modern world. So many people can't get out of their own way, it takes a story such as this to let us reflect and reset our priorities. Blaze and Ebony are a perfect example of how life an trip us up, but in the end, love will help us find our way.

Loved this short, and the narration by Trei Taylor is well suited. This is my first listen by her and I enjoyed her. She has a good pace and her variety of voices is well suited for the story.

A modern, romantic twist of The Christmas Carol!

A Christmas Creek Carol: A Christmas Creek Romance by Rachelle Ayala, narrated by Trei Taylor is Book 3 in the highly popular standalone series A Christmas Creek Romance. Ebony Cruse is the modern day Ebenezer Scrooge. Similar to her mother, who recently passed away, she has allowed work to take precedence over what is really most important: family and friends. This is a story in which we can all relate. Although the plots in our own lives may be different than that of Ebony's, I'm sure there have been times we have, knowingly and unknowingly, been on a one-way street leading straight to Destruction Destination. Sometimes we are selfish, treat others poorly, and even take for granted those in our lives who have the potential to bring us joy, peace, and happiness. Thank goodness authors like Rachelle Ayala are there to remind us what's most important, so that we can refocus and re-evaluate our decisions and get back on the right path. By showing us what happens when we choose to neglect what (and who) is most important, you are helping us all live fuller, happier, and healthier lives. Whether you're a fan of the romance genre or not, the message in this well-written story will hit home. Ms. Ayala, thank you for Ebony's story and, in a way, thank you for being our ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future!

The narration by Trei Taylor was wonderful! My overall experience was that much better having listened to the audiobook. Taylor brought the storyline and Ebony's character to life. So much emotion went in to this performance. At one point in the story, when I snapped back into reality, I realized that I was listening to an audiobook! When you forget that you are not really next to the characters, but rather at your own house in your own living room, you know the narrator is doing an awesome job!

I rate A Christmas Creek Carol: A Christmas Creek Romance, Book 3 by Rachelle Ayala, narrated by Trei Taylor a full 5/5 stars. Whether your plans include an afternoon at home relaxing on the couch or wrapping last minute gifts, this 2.5 hour audiobook is the perfect listen. All the books in this HEA series can be read in any order, but your overall experience will be heightened this holiday season if you start at the beginning. In each book there is a lesson to be learned, and you will fall in love with the characters, their lives, and, of course, the town in which they all live. I recommend this audiobook to those looking for a modern, romantic twist of The Christmas Carol.

Extraordinary Spin To "A Christmas Carol"

I enjoyed this story very much. I appreciated that the author re-imagined the Charles Dickens' tale of (abbreviated title) "A Christmas Carol". I appreciated the authentic feel that the author engendered by writing a story that featured an author as the protagonist. I liked the Christmas magic that flowed through the tale. Trei Taylor's narration was fine. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

An Xmas gift for your ears and soul

This listen was in perfect timing for the season that is fastly approaching . This listen will lift your spirits and make you realize what’s important. Rachelle knows how to lift your spirits and make you want to have everything in life that will bring you joy . It’s also a retelling of a popular Xmas story but in modern times

Hero is Blaze. Heroine is Ebany .
Ebony goes back home for the Xmas season . She needs to put her life in order . She needs to prioritize her writing and hopefully nothing will take her off track and her schedule. So she’s back at Carol Creek . But life has other plans for her. It’s karma coming back.
Blaze sees Ebony going around life , he doesn’t know what to do to get close to her. Blaze feels uncomfortable.
Embody gets a wake up call when she realizes if she doesn’t let Blaze get close she will be alone in life but the femail part of Scrouge

Trei was great. The voice was strong, clear , and steady. All the character parts were played great

The story of Blaze and Ebony

This is my second Christmas Creek audio and just like the first, it did not disappoint.
Ebony is visiting her hometown during Christmas time. She would be happy to be left alone, but in a town called Christmas Creek there isn't much chance of being left alone at Christmas. Her former crush came home for Christmas also and the two of them spend time together remembering past times spent together. But what does the future hold for them?

There is a small flavor of Dickens' Christmas Carol woven within the story.
The narrator did a fine job of bringing the characters to life and made this an easy listen.
