Lucy Valentine is as smart as can be, as single as you can get, and so not qualified to run a matchmaking service. But when her parents temporarily step down from the family business, Valentine, Inc., it's Lucy's turn to step up and help out - in the name of love.
Plus, her rent is due.
Here's the problem: Lucy doesn't have the knack for matchmaking. According to family legend, every Valentine has been blessed by Cupid with the ability to read "auras" and pair up perfect couples. But not Lucy. Her skills were zapped away years ago in an electrical surge, and now all she can do is find lost objects. What good is that in the matchmaking world? You'd be surprised. In a city like Boston, everyone's looking for something. So when Lucy locates a missing wedding ring - on a dead body - she asks the sexy private eye who lives upstairs to help her solve the perfect crime. And who knows? Maybe she'll find the perfect love while she's at it…

Any additional comments?
The romance in the story was slow moving and bland. 4 books in and the couple are still trying to form a deep connection, which is a shame because the narrator is humorous and light hearted, which I usually enjoy. Overall the characters just left me rolling my eyes and the romance lacked the heat that could have made up for that. It felt like I was listening to the toned down love story I'd relay to my bible bashing mum.Glacial romance

Entertaining characters, that feel real...even with the "magic". It is a story that I know I will come back to again and again.
was a great story with fun characters.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
Dina Perlman is great but Lucy is a lifelong Massachusetts resident and Dina has a southern accentWhat was one of the most memorable moments of Truly, Madly?
I'm midway through and enjoying the storyWould you be willing to try another one of Dina Pearlman’s performances?
She's great as Savannah Reid in that series but I may not continue with this series. I'm from Massachusetts and for some reason the narration is irritating to meWas Truly, Madly worth the listening time?
YesLove Dina Perlman but...

I have listened to all of Dina Pearlman's narrations for Heather Webber's books. She is absolutely perfect with different voices for the different characters. I can't wait for the next installment because this narrator brings the characters to life. I'm hooked! Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
