About this listen

When James Everard announced that he had invited a young lady home for the holidays, his father, the Earl of Gyllford, was astounded and skeptical. Could it be that Jamie was finally showing an interest in something other than horseplay with his friends? But when lovely Miss Evalyn Pennington arrived at Gyllford Manor, it was the earl who found himself inexplicably drawn to her winsome beauty. Having been dismissed from her post as a governess, Evalyn would long remember the kindness of being welcomed at Gyllford Manor when she had nowhere else to turn. But neither Evalyn nor the earl expected the light of love that filled their Christmas with some very special gifts.

A Christmas Kiss was an enjoyable book. Did not realise it was set back in the 1800's I think. Easy to listen too. Better than most of the books in the romance package.

A good hearted operatic humorous wit and a skillful plot moving quickly and with interest

The story was cute and light-hearted. It felt alot like a Jane Austen book, with misunderstandings and mischief abound. Personally, I prefer more emotionally intense books that I can really sink my teeth into. However, this one is well written and a nice break from heavier stories.

Cute and Light

The book was entertaining, if a bit predictable. Characters were well framed. Another review didn't care for the narrator but I thought her performance was good.

Pretty good...

A lovely Christmas regency romance. Worth the read. It’s a lovely and beautiful story with miscommunications.

Traditional regency

This is a clean and wonderfully romantic romance filled with feel-good moments. The performance is perfect and totally captures the Regency period. You will feel like you stepped back in time.

Such a fun read

Loved that the beginning you would have thought she would end up with someone her own age !!! She was older than her age and perfect match!

mature kind of love

The strong accent did not help. Too much wondering around the plot.

But that is only my opinion.

Not so great

I couldn't wait to get started, as the plot sounded very romantic. Sadly, it took a couple chapters for the story to pick up, Personally, I felt like the delivery was slower than it needed to be, with extraneous details and conversations slowing the story down.

Compelling Plot but Slow Delivery
