About this listen

Half the country is under siege...and a small town is on the edge of a new war.

What chaos has the EMP heaped upon Burning Hollow?

Chloe is gone, the town is without authority, and it seems as though Smoky Hills has suffered innumerable losses. There is also the matter of Pablo Santiago and the cartel coming to town, their destination being Kingston Bickmore’s house. It’s only a matter of time before Santiago realizes who is living next door....

With the survivors' attention split between finding Chloe and protecting the town from a growing number of brand-new enemies, one important choice remains: Does Rowdy risk searching for Chloe, or will he tell Evie her mother is lost forever?

Regardless of what he decides, will Rowdy, Ruth, and Taylor be bold enough and strong enough to protect the farm when strangers begin showing up for help? Or will the Banks’ family farm serve as the site for the next big war?

Will an EMP strike and a collapsed society deliver a fatal blow to Burning Hollow? Or will its citizens dig in, protect their homesteads, and safeguard the community? Get ready for a roller-coaster ride through the apocalypse in this edge-of-your-seat thriller!

Experience USA Today best-selling author and number one post-apocalyptic fiction author Ryan Schow at his very best in this tour de force survival series.

This five-book post-apocalyptic survival series has no coarse language, explicit sex scenes, plagues, or zombies but does contain some mild violence similar to that of a PG-13 action and adventure film. Perfect for fans of A.G. Riddle, Kyla Stone, Franklin Horton, Jack Hunt, Boyd Craven, and Bobby Akart. Suitable for ages 13 and up.

And the story continues so we better buckle in!

More nonstop action! These books are crazy amazing! The characters are delightful if they are not scary beyond reality! The saga continues including a whole lot of humor mixed in with mind expanding intrigue. And real questions about what society will become after the fall of America. How will our beloved characters survive...or will they survive? On to Book 4 keeping my fingers crossed for my favorites.

Exciting story and well developed characters. The story is expertly narrated. By far, the best narrator I have listened to.

If you haven’t read Ryan Schow’s books you are missing out!

I only listen to books now and have purchased all the books available. I am looking forward to the fourth book in this series. I believe there is a new book that hasn’t been recorded yet that I hope will be ready soon.

Another great entry in the series

Still not a fan of the foreign voices the narrator attempts, they all sound nothing like what the character's nationality is supposed to be, I'd even take an absurd over the top impression over what we get, but it's not a huge deal.

Character distinction

What a wonderful job by both Ryan Schow and Kevin Pierce. The development of Rowdy’s character is fantastic, and Kevin’s delivery of the character is very well done. This series has surpassed the Dark Days of the After as far as I am concerned.
Mr Pierce does his finest performance in this series, you can really feel who Rowdy really is and also, I can hear the the different details of each character. Best performance yet. Well done
