Newly recorded for the 10th anniversary of A Court of Thorns and Roses

The 10th anniversary edition recording of the first book in the #1 bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series from global phenomenon Sarah J. Maas, who handpicked narrator and friend Elizabeth Evans to bring these characters to life due to her intimate understanding of Sarah’s storytelling

Global phenomenon Sarah J. Maas’s sexy, richly imagined #1 bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series continues with the journey of Feyre’s fiery sister, Nesta.

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she’s struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can’t seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre’s Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta’s orbit. But her temper isn’t the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.

Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.

Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance—and healing—in each other’s arms.

I really didn't like that it took nesta the entire book to chill out however there is a good story here. I do hope there is a 6th book because there's still so much left open. and I know there is a crossover in the crescent City series but it doesn't focus on this issue obviously

hope there is more!

This, for now, last book in this series, for sure stands out with the amount of descriptive romantic scenes that the author is well known for! But just as in the previous it is all within the confines of the story and never inappropriate. The difference is that compared to the previous books that there is a lot of between Cassian and Nesta as their relationship grows from “just sex” to something far more precious. If you are in the prudish side you won’t like this book. If you have read all the previous books, and won’t shy away from detailed, but tasteful, description of their love making, you should be good. Of course there is the back story of each character we know by now plus some new people that add so much to the story. Loved this book. Loved the whole series. There is talk of a 6th book. If that is true, where do I sign up for the pre-release count!! On to Crescent City and a Throne of Glass!!!

Last but not least!!

The story changing to Nesta at first to me, I thought we were going to miss out. Boy was I WRONG! This book is everything it could be and more. The character arcs, the storyline, the background stories. All of it! I’m so sad I’m done with the series and I cannot wait for the next installment.

Hot take but this is the best one in the series!

Am I crazy or WHY does Elizabeth Evans continue to do the male voices dirty with a Napoleon Dynamite impersonation? In TOG it drove me up the wall that she made Dorian sound like a weakling dumb dumb who mouth breaths and drags his knuckles, and here she is doing the same thing with Cassian— CASSIAN!! It completely alters the entire vibe of the book and I had to stop listening and go back to the Stina Neilson narration. This book is such a great story on healing and illustrates a wonderful character arc while illuminating more of the Maasiverse in a beautiful tactile portrait that it’s such a pity for the narrator to get in the way. Overall, Evans as narrator is good- she could be fantastic if she would figure out a different way to voice her males. I’d rather her not even try to “do” a voice and just narrate it in a normal tone if she can’t drop the Napoleon Dynamite impersonation.

Narrator is good but…

Elizabeth Evans is not only the voice of the Maasverse but but I would listen to anything she narrated

Elizabeth Evens is the GOAT
