Not a Psychological Thriller

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and all opinions expressed herein are my own.

Trigger Warning: There is incest and sexual assault. None of it is described in graphic detail but it is a plot point.

I found the premise of this story interesting - Gary finds out he has been adopted on his mother's deathbed. He then wants to find his birth parents. As he investigates further, he is foreclosed when individuals initially interested in helping suddenly change their minds.

I found the plot to be rather slow moving and some points stretched credibility a bit. It was labeled as a psychological thriller - but it's really not. And the twist - not my cup of tea.

The narrator, Jim Selleck, did a good job and used different voices for the various characters.

shocking and suspenseful!

let me begin by saying, the narrator does an excellent job! He is one of the few male narrators that does a wonderful job of female voices. He really makes all characters come to life.if you are a fan of psychological suspense, this is the book you need to read! The suspense level, and the psychological affects, are both at top level! He finds out a shocking secret on the sudden death of his mother. This is what starts everything. He begins a quest that could cost him, his wife, and their family, their very lives! Along the way, shocking twists and turns are around every corner!

Creepy

This book is really pretty creepy. The themes are definitely 18+ but it is not explicit. There is some swearing but it is mostly limited to one very heated scene.

This book deals with the death of the main character’s mother.

It may make you rethink your approach to what’s important in life.

Narration was very engaging.

Twisted Thriller

This mystery is super twisted and unpredictable. I felt bad for Gary and his family. They just wanted the truth about Gary's parentage only to find themselves in a paradise from hell. Jim Selleck did a great job with the narration.
