About this listen

A dash of destiny and a pinch of passion can change everything....

Scottish warlock Rory MacGregor knows something from the supernatural world is trying to kill him. He’s not sure exactly what that something is, but it’ll make for a fun adventure figuring it all out. Of course, nothing is simple, so when Fate tosses in a dash of destiny to keep him on his toes by way of an enchanting new arrival in town, he’s all in. He just wished she was, too.

Life hasn’t turned out as planned for Jennifer Greene. After taking care of her sick father for years, she’s come to Green Vallis, Wisconsin, for one reason only - a job. She isn’t looking for adventure, even if it’s by way of a tempting Highlander in a kilt or men streaking across the countryside. And she definitely isn’t looking for love - even though love is looking for her.

From the Highlands of Scotland to the valleys of Wisconsin... A modern-day Scottish paranormal romance by New York Times best-selling author Michelle M. Pillow.

Warning: Contains yummy, hot, mischievous MacGregors who are almost certainly up to no good on their quest to find true love. And Uncle Raibeart.

Honestly, this is the first book in this series I have listened to / read. I have just been so enthralled with Michelle M Pillow's Qurilixen World book. (They are FANTASTIC!) But I digress.
This is Rory's story and even though I don't know his history, it was an amazing listening experience. He does meet his true match in Jennifer. The story provides drama, intrigue, steaminess, so very much humor & sexy as hell men in kilts. What's not to love!
This audiobook has me backtracking with this series asap. I gotta go start with book 1.
This is a highly recommend audiobook.

Once again, Michelle M. Pillow manages to keep me laughing with this installment in the Warlocks MacGregor series. The character work and story line were well written and highly entertaining. The narrator did a fabulous job bringing this book to life and made this book as enjoyable to listen to as it is to read.

Another Great Addition to the Series

A Dash of Destiny was a good addition to this series. It didn't Wow me as much be the others have and I'm not sure why really. I couldn't warm up to the H, Jennifer as much as I have the previous h' s. And that disappointed me, because I was looking forward to Rory's tale. It was still a good book, just not my favorite. Michael Ferraiuolo did a winderful job narrating as always!!

Good Addition

I loved Rory and Jennifer’s romantic suspense tale. This is a heartwarming, hilarious and steamy romance full of lovable and relatable characters with a just a touch of danger and mystery. Rory is a warlock whose large clan family moved to the small town of Green Vallis several years ago. He is feeling a bit jealous because the other men in his family have all found their soulmates. Jennifer is a human who works as a waitress in town. They meet when Rory “wakes up” magically bound to a tree without his powers. Jennifer wanders by following a puppy but then picks up a cursed knife and attempts to stab Rory with it. There is instant attraction and connection between Rory and Jennifer but as usual with this family, things are complicated. Is the connection real and what is going on with Jennifer’s unprovoked murderous urges toward Rory. To get to their HEA, they will have to deal with whatever is possessing Jennifer and protect Rory while trying to find time to court amidst the insanity of the mansion. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline as shown through mystery, sweet moments, steam, laughs, messy families, painful pasts, surprises, magic, danger, and all the meddling love. I love the insanity and strong emotions that characterize the MacGregor family.

Michael Ferraiuolo did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly. As an added plus, the accents are great.

Another fun addition to the series

Very satisfying and entertaining family of Scott's with wild tales and crazy creatures. Mix up all that with kilts, magical evil out for their blood and a romantically seeking and sometimes naked man fleeing the latest threat then you have a best seller!
I love this series and recommend it to anybody with a sense of humour.

LOTS OF CRAZY KILT WEARING WARLOCKS

This is book 8 in the Warlocks MacGregor and is a stand alone book with a nice HEA. Rory story was an adventure of mishaps and mayhem I have come to love with the MacGregors. I highly recommend this book. The narrator does a good job of bring the characters to life. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Another installment of the MacGregor clan finding their true love. Rory and Jennifer love story is full of twist and turns that will capture your attention from the start. Rory is smitten with Jennifer from the moment he meets her even though she tries to kill him. Jennifer is attracted to Rory but is more reserved. The characters are wonderful, fun loving, and a family that close nit and caring. There's plenty of steam, mystery, magick, humor and sexy Scottish warlocks.
The narrator has done a wonderful job narrating the story bring each character to life; even using a sexy Scottish accent. Love this book and ready for more.

I can emphasize enough how much Micheal Ferraluolo’s narration adds to this series. His ability to give us so many different voices that fit the story perfectly makes the characters feel even more real to me on top of how well they are written. Love it.
