About the Performer

Dancer and filmmaker Emma Watkins began her performance career early, from the age of 3, nurturing her love of dance and movement. Emma studied at The McDonald College for the Performing Arts, Sydney Film School, ED5 International and at the University of Technology Sydney, completing her Master’s in Media Arts and Communication.

Recently, she has received her Doctorate at Macquarie University, exploring artistic integrations of sign language and dance for children’s screen media. Emma is a renowned advocate for inclusion and accessibility, consulting on the Early Years Strategy advisory board and partnering with accessible production certification organisation ‘Inclusively Made’.
