Publisher's summary

Fire is not the only thing that haunts her dreams.

Aurelia made some difficult decisions as part of her work for the resistance to the wicked Unseelie King, and Aspen may never forgive her. But when emissaries come asking for her queen's aid, Aurelia and Aspen are forced to work together to discover the cause of a mysterious blight and gain an ally in their war against the Unseelie King.

Sent deep into the Dwarven realm on behalf of their queen, this mission could be a second chance for Aurelia and Aspen, as long as the dangers they discover there don’t destroy them first.

Fans of Sarah J. Maas as Jennifer L. Armentrout will enjoy Aspen and Aurelia’s second-chance romance in this spicy sequel to A Dream of Stars and Darkness.

Madeleine does it again! ❤️

This is book two in Eliot's Queen of All Fae (QoAF) series and I really enjoyed it. It started out a little slow but I loved Aurelia and Aspen's character development, exploring more of the QoAF world; especially the Crystal City, and the plot twists in this book as I honestly didn't see some of them coming.

I also really enjoyed being able to go back to Ember and Hadrian's POV for a chapter or two here and there. I fell in love with their characters in Book 1 so I was happy to see them again and read about how they're doing. I also really enjoyed the narrator and the way she voiced the characters;

All in all, this was a great continuation of the story. The pacing for the most part was very balanced but there were a few parts that I felt were rushed and could have used more action or explanation. I can't wait to start Book 3 and finish the QoAF series!

well performed but eh writing

I read the first book and was underwhelmed. I had hoped it would get better and it did but not by much. the story it's self isn't bad but the writing and pacing need some polish. the characters act like teenagers and the character development just isn't there. maybe it just wasn't for me but I couldn't even get all the way through this one.

Breathtaking!

Breathtaking! I was nervous about this book featuring other characters after reading the first book in the series because I was so in love with the original, but my gosh, this was fabulous!! I love enemies to lovers, and I don’t think it could have been better. The emotions these two have towards one another, both good and bad, hot and cold left me unable to stop listening. The world Madeliene has created is by far surpassing anything I’ve read recently. I stop and think about the time and commitment to put together all the magical elements of this story while having it flow with other stories. My gosh. Perfection.

Spicey, Comfy, Fantasy Romance

If your looking for a spicey, comfy, fantasy romance then you will love ADOEAA! Book 2 has more spice and a little less plot than book 1 but I still found it to be a fun fantasy escape. The narration was great, I loved the voices and how she brought the characters to life.

ADOEAA has the feel of a classic fantasy quest as we follow Aurelia and Aspen to the Dwarven realm to secure an alliance and help fight a blight threatening their lands.

I loved the world building in this one as we explore the magical lands of the dwarves. The introduction of more magical creatures was so fun, rocs and cave dragons, yes please!

The childhood friends, second chances romance plot between Aurelia was sweet, spicey, and often infuriating! I couldn't help but fall in love with the new character Nox.

All in all it was a fun read and I am looking forward to book 3.

Enchanting and spicy tale of a second chance romance

I simply adore this entire series! I don’t read a lot of second chance romances but second chance fantasy romance might be my new favorite thing. This one ups the spice and I loved every moment of Aspen and Aurelia finding their path back to each other. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator continues to do a fantastic job! Also there are BABY DRAGONS! Enough said.
