Never's quest for a name continues...
Poisoned and furious, Never must add a desperate quest for a cure to his existing search for truth. His path takes him deep into the White Wood where he faces vengeful spirits, giant leeches, and Commander Harstas himself, whose lust for revenge is an ever-present threat.

I had picked up the first two audios, but I don’t intend to complete the series.
I’m not a fan of novellas/serials. I like to pick up a book and when I’m finished, the “arc” has come to a conclusion. Perhaps if all of these “serials” were combined into a book, it’d be worth the read/listen. As it stands, it’s not worth the price/token.
In book 2, the recurring supporting characters include Luis and Alina. Previously mentioned Harstas has a menacing role.
I’m shocked to learn Never’s heritage/ancestry is a widely known “myth” and stories are known. So if he has been searching his ‘whole life’, where has he been searching -under a rock?
Even his brother preceded him with a rather sinister reputation .... Again, I ponder, apparently Never’s relentless search was only a half attempt. (Like when a parent tells a child to clean a room and all the child does is remove the trash bag ....)
I finished this novella with a feeling that Never’s search mirrored the writer’s half attempt to fully develop the plot and sub plot on an outline.
Very disappointed and contemplating returning the audios - EXCEPT I would strongly recommend the narrator. He provided various voices for the characters and his tone mimicked the ambient events and feelings.
Second in the Serial but Last One for me
