About this listen

From number one New York Times best-selling author V.E. Schwab comes the sequel to A Darker Shade of Magic - A Gathering of Shadows!

Kell is plagued by his guilt. Restless, and having given up smuggling, he is visited by dreams of ominous magical events, waking only to think of Lila.

As Red London prepares for the Element Games - an extravagant international competition of magic - a certain pirate ship draws closer. But another London is coming back to life, a shadow that was gone in the night reappears in the morning.

Black London has risen again - and so to keep magic's balance, another London must fall.

I'm so glad I already bought the next book because of how this ends. I'm hooked...starting the next one immediately!

Hooked!

I've got nothing against Kate Reading & Michael Kramer -- they are great in Wheel of Time, for example -- but the main characters in this story are LONDONERS!

Steven Crossley (narrator for Book 1) was excellent...and BRITISH! (and, ummm...he's still alive) Why the change!?!

Delilah Bard as a soft-voiced American...c'mon man!

Sadly, books 3+ are also narrated by this AMERICAN duo. I may be forced to buy the printed format.

I'd love to know what @VictoriaSchwab thinks of this.

Bring back Steven Crossley!

It's well written, and it is set in an interesting world. The storyline is very predictable and - worse - there are many things that just make no sense and characters act in really cliche-type manners. Think main character storming off alone without informing allies into an obviously dangerous situation without any reason to do so.

good writing, great narrating, OK story
