About this listen

James McKinney has always dreamed of having a house of his own and a place he can call home. After finding the perfect house, and ready to work to make it his home, nothing can put a damper on his happiness—even when he discovers the house is filled with the previous owner’s belongings. He focuses on the fact the house is now his and doesn’t mind at all when his cute neighbor offers to help him sort through it.

Trey Andral is returning home from college when he notices someone moving into his old friend’s house next door. He worries that the new neighbor may not understand the fact that his old friend’s ghost still resides in the house, and when he sees her ghost through the window, he knows he has to help.

Trey has always been able to see and hear spirits, but what’s normal to him is terrifying to most others. When the spirits seem intent on contacting James, Trey has no choice but to share his secret, risking their newfound friendship. Maybe by working together, they can figure out what the clues the spirits are giving them mean. And maybe they can find happiness and family in each other.

Ghostly Friends to Lovers Romance Story :)

I love all of BL Maxwell’s books but her paranormal ones are some of my favorite :) A Ghost of a Chance was so fun and wonderful to read that I was thrilled when she announced that it would be coming to audio form :) It has a slight age gap, friends to lovers, next door neighbors, haunted ghosts, and wonderful family members. She couldn’t have picked a better narrator to bring Trey and James to life. Curtis did a phenomenal job voicing Trey, James, Ms. Hattie, and Trey’s family :) He has a wonderful smooth and silky voice and does a great job bringing each character to life. If I had neighbors like Trey and his family, I would just have to live with a ghost ;) Pretty good trade-off and I'm glad James and Trey got their HEA even if it took a ghost or two to make them figure everything out.

Excellent audio book

I really enjoyed this book and appreciated the narration. Curtis Michael’s voice is one I could listen to read for hours - very soothing and helps tell the story, not distract from it!

loved it

I loved this book. Curtis Michael really brings this story to life and makes you fall in love with the characters even more. James McKinney has always lived by himself. He buys a house. Its a dream come true. Trey Andral comes home and while passing Miss Hattie's house. He sees her. He knows she gone and most would think he's crazy if he said he can see ghosts. Trey introduces himself and sees James needs help. How could Trey not help him. Can the Mrs. Hattie and the ghost bring Trey and James together? And more importantly show James he was never alone?

Awesome

I absolutely loved this book! It really goes with this authors Valley Ghosts series which I adore and own in 3 different formats haha. This has just a little spookiness and lots of sweetness a must buy in my opinion.
