Wonderful Rom-Com

Once again we are treated to an amusing tale as we follow our friends ( yes friends, that's how Lydon makes us feel about her characters) from the London series. This time we watch Tanya’s life, now a high flyer in the city unfold before our eyes. Now it had been awhile since I had read the series and in the back of my head I kept hearing, " you don't like Tanya", but I thought, well there's two sides to every story, give her a fair go. However it didn't take long for me to come around to liking her. She just needed the right woman to bring the best out of her.

Then there is Sophie, ( great name by the way) who is kind of just drifting along in life whilst working in a bar and shagging her boss Helen who does not want to commit to a relationship. Sophie knows she needs to move on from Helen but just can't seem to, until one night her eyes are opened and she finally makes some drastic changes in her life. Through a series of unfortunate but amusing mishaps Tanya and Sophie are thrown together in a car journey that will change their lives.
We catch up with old friends from the previous books but it is the dogs that Sophie walks that almost steal the show. They are adorable as is this book.
I throughly enjoyed listening to Lucy Price-Lewis dulcet tones bring even more life to Lydon’s characters, if that’s possible?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cheaper than therapy

Great storyline that was very well performed. Character plot left me recalling person experiences with my own family as well as those of my friends. Painful to listen to in a few parts, but well worth it. Plus, it’s so much cheaper than therapy. Highly recommend.

A Girl Called London

This series has been super cute so far 😊

Tanya and Sophie have a somewhat meet-cute encounter, but so much had to unravel before they got to know each other. They were both at a point of change in their lives and really needed to sort out their own issues. Enter Delilah, Tanya's gran's dog that she took in, to shake things up between them.

Another great story in the series, which I'm still not reading in order. I'll fix that soon lol.

Wonderful narration👏👏👏

Nice romantic lesfic

I enjoyed this book. Aside from a bit of grief, this was a light sweet read. I wasn't familiar with this author prior to listening to this audiobook, but I will be looking for other works from her. The narration was well done. There is a lot of character development. Give this book a try!

Sophie and Tonya

What a refreshing, funny, happy story. I loved that both of the women overcame part of their past!

Great Characters, Lovely Romance

Clare Lydon is one of my favorite authors because she writes great characters and her sense of humor is off the chart. Nobody writes snappy dialogue or situational comedy better than she does.
In this audiobook, the pacing of the plot and the narrator's ability to nail the comic timing makes this audiobook even better than the actual book.
Both the main characters are very relatable and Ms. Lydon provides plenty of backstory to make both women realistic and sympathetic.
Sometimes it was hard for me to distinguish which character was speaking. I didn't feel like the narrator was consistent with her voice interpretations. This could be because I am American so my ear may miss some of the nuances of the regional British language. That being said, I thought the narrator's voice was pleasant and the production quality was very good.

Clare Lydon at her best

This book had me from me the start, it made me laugh and cry as the story touched on a similar home life. It was awesome how Lydon brought Jess/Lucy into this story as well as Kate/Meg. I was glad that see that she wrote Tanya’s story and boy was it spot on

Definitely worth a listen

Another sweet rom-com from Clare Lydon with the two mains who you are laughing at/with and rooting for from the get-go. Both women are relatable with their insecurities and a bit of additional baggage they need to work through both separately and together to reach their Happily Ever After. (Though I must admit it took me part of the book to realize Tanya was the same Tanya from This London Love since she was so remarkably different in this book, though of course I enjoyed her personality and complexity much more this time round). A great round of supporting characters with a few family members you just want to slap upside the head lol. It was my first time listening to Lucy Price-Lewis narrate but I truly hope it's not my last, she did a great job.

Best of the series!!!

While i liked the entire series, this one was my favorite!! I absolutely adored the narrator, i could listen to her all day. I especially liked the characters and their depth. They were pretty well fleshed out and were just quirky and funny themselves. I liked their dynamic with each other as well. Overall, i thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to more of this author.
