About this listen
After Zola Denise Norwood meets media mogul Davis Vincent McClinton on a New York-bound flight, he makes her a couple of offers before they even land. One is editing his hot new urban style magazine Bling Bling. The other is more personal.
As Zola and Raymond Tyler Jr., Bling Bling’s CEO, pursue their ambitions and search for love, secrets from the past and events out of today’s headlines (plus the shenanigans of John Basil Henderson and Yancey B.) keep the action moving.

Keep up the good work, E. Lynn, people like you are needed!
BTW, the earlier reviewer said in his/her review that the audiobook left him/her hanging and that the book seemed to end abruptly, and that was really the case since Audible made a mistake by omitting the last 2,5 hours from the end of the book; an error that has since been corrected. Thanks for Audible for noticifation of the matter to the customers who had bought this book.
Solid E. Lynn Harris quality
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
That's where the problems began. Unless you knew who was being talked to, it was hard to tell if Raymond was talking or if Zola was talking. There was rarely a difference between the two. I got used to that but I never got used to the narrator repeating sentences. It happened so much during one listening session that I put this book aside and did not pick it back up for days.
It was a good story but it suffered from the inferior narration and the bad production.
So many (too many) audio glitches

What made the experience of listening to A Love of My Own the most enjoyable?
The detail and the ability of the author to engulf the reader in each characters life. What did you like best about this story?
It was sightly personal for me because one of the settings is my hometown and the others are now my surrounding cities and that made it personal for me.Which scene was your favorite?
The hospital scene when the one he truly loves shows up.If you could take any character from A Love of My Own out to dinner, who would it be and why?
The main character becasue I feel we would have a lot in common. He attended college in the town I grew up in.Any additional comments?
This was my first book by E. Lynn Harris I will be listening to more of his books.Good listen
