Publisher's summary

For his final series, New York Times best-selling author E. Lynn Harris introduced Bentley L. Dean, owner of the hottest modeling agency in Miami's sexy South Beach.

Only the world's most beautiful models make the roster of Picture Perfect Modeling agency, and they only do shoots for the most elite photographers and magazines. They are fashionista royalty - and the owners, Bentley L. Dean and his beautiful partner Alexandra, know it. But even Picture Perfect isn't immune from hard times; so when Sterling Sneed, a rich, celebrity party planner promises to pay a ridiculously high fee for some models, Bentley finds he can't refuse. Even though the job is not exactly a photo shoot, Bentley agrees to supply 15 gorgeous models as eye candy for an "A" list party - to look good, be charming and, well, entertain the guests. They don't have to do anything they don't want to, but....

His models are pros, and he figures they can handle the pressure - until one drops out and Bentley asks his protégé Jah, a beautiful kid who Bentley treats as if he were his own son, to substitute. Suddenly, the stakes are much higher, particularly when Jah falls in love with the hottest African American movie star in America. Seth Sinclair is very handsome, very famous, and very married - and his closeted gay life makes him very dangerous as well. Can Bentley's fatherly guidance save Jah from making a fatal mistake?

There has to be a Part 2

I love E. Lynn Harris books and this was no different. I liked that Bentley grew up learning to help those less fortunate and to treat people equally no matter their status. Bentley's modeling business is struggling until he takes a job suppling models to a well known millionaire that runs a secret society. Things get crazy from here, dragging his friend Jah along the way. Will Bentley be able to save Jah from the clutches of these dangerous men? The book left so many unanswered questions that makes me wonder was there a second book?

Definitely a page turner

I enjoyed the story. It kept me guessing. The narration was bad but if you speed it up to 1.2 it’s tolerable. The end seemed so abrupt. I thought something was wrong or that I’d find a part 2. Just like all of Harris’ books, it’s worth a read/listen.

Just ok

This book could have went so many different ways. I was disappointed in the ending. The title really doesn’t reflect anything about the book. Too many irrelevant characters.

Fore The Narrator!

Couldn’t get past first 3 mins. Narrator did nothing and too much at the same time. I listen to my books while driving. I had to have my radio on max just to hear him whispering and dragging all is “s” more than a Queer As Folk season.

Horrible Narration

When I tell you that thing narrator made this listen not good AT all. He sounded so unsure about what he was reading and it kept throwing my listen off.
Not a E. Lynn Harris fan, but I wanted to support this black author.

Poor editing

The story had me on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed the book. The reading and editing of the read though, left a lot to be desired. it was terrible. I often listen to many of my book over, not sure I can with this one because of the poor editing. A great story though.

Hard listen

I love E. Lynn Harris' style of writing, but this listen was a struggle. The performer should've familiarized himself with the wording and inflections before recording...

Not what I expected

I had a hard time listening to this book. The narrator’s reading was choppy. Almost like a child who’s still learning to read. It didn’t flow but I continued to listen bc the story was interesting. Although, Bentley was a little annoying with being so “overprotective”, yet he didn’t take his own advice. And the ending was unbelievable. After all the drama, the person with such a minor role ended up taking the most drastic hit. I’m not sure if Mr. E. Lynn Harris finished this book himself but the ending definitely felt rushed. I expected more just bc of the books I read him from him previously.
