About this listen

The galaxy burns. The enemy, a race of alien scorpions, storms from star to star. Planets smolder in their wake. Across the galaxy, they hunt humans.

Long ago, we humans had a planet of our own. Long ago, we could have resisted the scorpions. But today we are refugees. We are lost in darkness. We haven't seen Earth in 2,000 years. We, the last humans, must band together. We must resist. We must fight the scorpions. And we must find Earth! Only Earth can unite us. Only Earth can kindle our hope. Only on Earth can we defend our species.

Our homeworld calls us from beyond myth and shadow. We must find a way home. Or the scorpions will kill us all. Earth is but a memory. But we will not forget.

Earth will rise again!

As usual the author Daniel Arenson wrote An exceptional science fiction story. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. The author's writing is superb. Highly recommended.

Once again a reminder of WWII with the train tracks which led to the death camps.

Beautiful narration by Jeffrey Kafer for each of the characters in this creation.

My recommendations !!!

Oded Ostfeld.

Magical hope.

This book is a thriller in action on more than one front. The forces split with one group headed to find Earth and the second to fight to release more humans from the clutches of the scorpions. The narrator's performance is really good and keeps the story moving until suddenly you're finished! Will recommend this audible book to others.

the excitement continues

While explosive-powered military guns cannot readily achieve a muzzle velocity of more than 2 km/s (Mach 5.9), railguns can readily exceed 3 km/s (Mach 8.8). to sum up, a real life railgun fires a projectile that is faster then the fastest fighter jet, so basically that means that the railguns in this story are ether extremely weak or the scorpions carapace hids are 100 inches thick and tower over a human being at 5 meters tall. I disliked that the real life facts of the weapons in the story don't live up to the power and real destructive force that you see in sifi movies involving interstellar war battles. however I like the caricters and there ever-growing desire to get back to there home planet.

the facts where so wrong about a lot of things
