About this listen

When stable hand Nolan Price learns from his dying mother that he is actually the son of the Earl of Stainsby, his plans for a future with kitchen maid Hannah Burnham are shattered. Once he is officially acknowledged as the earl's heir, Nolan will be forbidden to marry beneath his station.

Unwilling to give up the girl he loves, he devises a plan to elope - believing that once their marriage is sanctioned by God, Lord Stainsby will be forced to accept their union. However, as Nolan struggles to learn the ways of the aristocracy, he finds himself caught between pleasing Hannah and living up to his father's demanding expectations.

At every turn, forces work to keep the couple apart, and a solution to remain together seems further and further away. With Nolan's new life pulling him irrevocably away from the woman he loves, it seems only a miracle will bring them back together.

A Soul Searing Delightful Story!

An excellent love story! A story of forgiveness, finding love and turning to the Lord. I really like it when an author has the ability to write a love story with passion and not have to be explicit regarding their personal physical relationship. Yet have the ability for the reader to use their own imagination.
I was a little surprised at the ending. I thought something bad was really happening! Won’t say more because I don’t want to ruin it for you.

disrespectful to mothers

there is a part in the book that I find extremely disrespectful to mothers in general. his mother died in childbirth and he resents her for it and he said that she was not his mother just the woman who gave birth to him now that is extremely disrespectful She gave her life for him so here is a warning for everybody.

Good story

The plot was good and well written. The narrator would get a 5 if he used the same level of emotion as the text. He acted the parts well, did a great job with the accents, and has a pleasing tone. Well worth it!

And Daddy issues too...

The story covers relationships: familial, man/woman, community, master/servant and spiritual ... basically the whole shebang! The story was developed at a good pace that let the reader interested and going forward. If you are looking for a light romance that has frequent inspirational moments, this is a good choice.

Very Christian. MCs create all their own problems

Very Christian. Utterly useless plot wise unless you’re a Christian. Should say so in the blurb if it’s going to turn into a sermon. Also the fmc was agonizing. Spent half the book wanting her to pull her head out of her… unsatisfactory ending based on Bible quote, at least for non-Christians.
