A small eastern community becomes over-run by a growing army of scarecrows.

This short story of approximately 8000 words was inspired by an actual legend from the Nova Scotia community of Necum Teuch.

This short reminds me a story you would see on the Twilight Zone. Mark Leslie consistently provides well thought out shorts with very real imagery. This story is about Wilson, who moves to a little town in Nova Scotia. Little does he know what this move has in store for him. Leslie creates a feeling of fear and surrealism that sucks you in to find out what is going to happen! I love it!

A better narration could not be found for this than by Eric Bryan Moore. His talent shines through with an element of calm creepiness that will make you look over your shoulder as you listen. This is a fun listen you will not want to miss!

A little horror!

Well, went in blind but I absolutely enjoyed this short story.
Wished it was a little longer if I`m being honest, great narrative by Eric B Moore.

When you wake up in the middle of the night to find scarecrows in your yard anyone would become confused. Of course you become even more confused when your new to town and that scarecrow population keeps growing in your yard. You automatically assume it a prank or is it? This is a fun short story and the narration is fantastic.

I really don't know how to rate these. I think they are so much fun. Mark Leslie always gives me a Twilight Zone, Creature Feature, and sometimes a Hitchcock vibe. Very nostalgic and entertaining in ways I'm not sure it's supposed to be. But, entertaining none the less. Anyone who likes those old shows and stories will probably really like these.

And, the author couldn't do any better than having Eric Bryan Moore narrating. He has the perfect voice for these types of stories as well as skill to pull them off. Just short little snacks of fun!

A fun short
