Very fun listen

This was a very fun book to listen to. The author has done a wonderful job of writing this book. This is the 6th book of the series and was another great addition to it. It has murder, mystery, suspense and a lot of humor.

Quirky, comical mystery, yes it is!

Great story, meh to the narration…In A Prickly Situation, An Aggie Underhill Mystery, Book 6, by Michelle Hollstein, Aggie ventures into the world of online dating/social media, resulting in amusing times. The story contains multiple adventures with Betty, Roger, Tom, and new characters. This book is fast-paced and I doubt you will be bored.

As I’ve stated before, Aggie, Betty, and Roger have become my guilty pleasure. Chances are great that you know someone like Aggie, Betty, and Roger, and that’s what helps to make these books fun.

At the end of each book, there is a recipe or two of Aggie’s.

The narrator, Becky Brabham, was not right for this book (in my opinion). Some of the character voices didn’t fit and it was a bummer. I don’t think she’s a bad narrator, just chose some wrong voices.

Overall, I’d recommend indulging in the Aggie Underhill series.

Parental guidance/trigger warnings: marital problems, online dating, gun, threats, death, tanning beds, going to the gym.

Truth is stranger than fiction

A Prickly Situation is one of the funniest books I have heard in a long time. Aggie get mixed up in not one but three mysteries. The comedic timing is impeccable. I love how the storyline flowed so effortlessly around the mysteries. I truly could picture this book being a movie because of how well it is written. The book is fast paced so hold on for the ride it is well worth it.
I received this audio book upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review because I really enjoyed this book and I am now such a huge fan of the author. Michelle Ann Hollstein just keeps impressing me with each book I read/listen to.

Nice Cozy Mystery

About 2 or three chapters into this one, I was transported. I went back about 25 years, when I was watching Murder, She Wrote with my grandparents. That's what this book reminded me of. Take Jessica Fletcher, give her blonde hair, and an English accent, and this is what you get. There's no violence, no body with blood pouring everywhere. Just a nice quiet town where someone dies, and the local snoop solves it. The narration was excellent. Not a real big cast of characters, but there's enough variety to keep you interested. It's not an edge of your seat thriller, and the narration reflects this. Good job all around! I received this promo copy at my request, and have voluntarily left this review.

An okay listen

This is an okay book-I enjoyed parts of it but I can't say that I loved it. I received a free copy in exchange for a review so I am giving an honest review but keep in mind it is only my opinion. Maybe it was just not my cup of tea. I don't regret the listen but I do not feel like I will seek out more in the series.

A Prickly Situation

This was my first book with Aggie Underhill and really enjoyed listening to it. The comical points added into this murder mystery book were perfect. I found myself giggling throughout the entire book. Narration in this book was done extremely well as well. Some of the voices were funny, but you always knew exactly who was speaking at the time. Looking forward to more of this group.
