All other Murder She Wrote audiobooks I’ve listened to on audible have been read by Cynthia Darlow, who sounds very similar to Angela Landsbury and does an amazing job with character voices in general, esp Seth’s. Unfortunately, Beth Porter narrates this book and was a huge disappointment to me. I can’t really rate the book because the character voices were just horrible.

Awful narrator!

The story was excellent. Beautifully paced, heartwarming and exciting. Unfortunately the narrator killed it. Dreadful intonation.

Change the narrator please!

I love Jessica Fletcher in all of her iterations—I’ve seen every episode of the series multiple times and read a number of the novels. This one wasn’t my favorite. The mystery itself was convoluted, and so were Jessica’s actions. She didn’t seem to be a consistent character in this novel. The other characters in the book were not particularly likable either. This is not one I would recommend to those looking for the cheerful, sensible Jessica from the TV show.

Not my favorite Murder, She Wrote mystery

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the normal JB Fletcher books and the narrator is horrible. All the quirky voices are soo bad much prefer the other lady.

Not as good as the others

I love Murder she wrote. The narrator was clear and precise with the Maine accent and characters.

Enjoyable

I didn't enjoy this Murder She Wrote audio book as much as I enjoyed the other 4 or 5 hat I've listened to. And I didn't like the performance at all. The characters' New England accents seemed forced and unreal and they pretty much all sounded like a woman who was trying to imitate the men's voices. In all of the other books that I've listened to, the characters sounded different, had nice voices and Jessica Fletcher actually sounded like Angela Lansbury to me. And I'd never known Jessica Fletcher to call Mort "Morten" before.

The story was okay but there wasn't alot of intrigue in it.
Maybe it's because this is only the 2nd book in the series.

I'll continue to listen to the series because I really liked the TV series and the other Audible books in this series that I've read so far.

My least favorite audio book in the series, so far
