About this listen

Martha, the youngest of the three Hostettler sisters, is concerned about the continuous attacks being made on her Amish family. When the suspected culprit turns out to be Luke Friesen - the man she loves - Martha decides to play detective. What will the search for truth cost her?

Luke Friesen seems to have taken the wrong path in life and now hangs out with rowdy Englishers. With a definite motive and a myriad of methods, Luke looks guilty as sin. Will one woman’s hope in his innocence be enough to bring the real criminal to justice? Does their love have a fighting chance?

Amish life with common life problems, how they accomplish the act of their faith being first in everything. Almost like an Old Testament life style read.
Overall good series!!!

Things I liked about this series: I love continuing stories like these where I can get to know the characters, I like the narrator, the storyline was interesting providing the opportunity to get to know the characters, I loved the mystery element, and the unfolding of the lives of the characters.

Things I disliked: There was quite a bit of repetition in the storyline, especially from one story to another. This was a sad story most of the time - I stayed with it to find out who the criminal was. The ending was a bit disappointing. After three books of “who done it,” the whole thing was wrapped up too quickly for my liking.

Overall, this was a good story. All three books are important to understand what’s going on.

The mystery is solved!
