About this listen

In this classic romance from #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts, one couple discovers their own way to a happy ending - and a beautiful beginning....

She'd inherited $150 million, but all Pandora McVie wants is her uncle back and her infuriating co-beneficiary, Michael Donohue, gone. But that isn't part of the plan - one that isolates them both in a Catskills mansion for six months. Pandora knows it won't be easy living with Michael, but the hardest thing of all might be not falling in love with the man!

The story was good. However, the reader's portrayal of Michael's voice is terrible. So fake! Like a throaty whisper the whole way. So irritating I kept hoping Michael wouldn't have any more lines in the story.

Good story but...that voice!

It's not my favorite, I did enjoy it though. on to the next one! yay

Not the best but still very good!

The book was very predictable, and the voice given to Michael by the narrator was terrible. He sounded like a dim witted teenager…Susan Erickson who does the JD Robb, In Death series would’ve been so much better!!!

Not Nora Roberts best work

I love the premise ... an old man dies and sets up a paradigm where two young people he loves related but biologically different have a chance to fall in love... while the relatives the old eccentric man sets up those he likes least to show his true colors. Fun and quirky Nora Characters with signature suspense.

Entertaining, but not one of Nora's best stories. Price was good and as I said before, it was entertaining.

Good listen!

I think it was a good book but not my favorite of hers. It was an easy read.

Good. But!!!!

Christina Transfer is an amazing narrator. Add this to Nora Roberts story telling ability and you have a great addition to your audible library.

The story is ok, but when the narrator was speaking in her “man” voice, it was so incredibly bad to all but ruin the book. I only put myself through it because I didn’t have anything else to listen to.

Narrator’s man voice is horrid!

What did you like best about A Will and a Way? What did you like least?

The story is exactly what you expect from a short Nora Roberts novel, but that is why it is so good. The setting, characters and plot are something that you might imagine watching in an episode of Logan's Run.

What did you like best about this story?

The setting, beautiful mental images of a gorgeous, whimsical Catskills mansion.

What didn’t you like about Christina Traister’s performance?

Michael's voice as portrayed by the narrator was terrible. it was low, monotone and made him sound dopey and took away from any passion or emotion that was written into his lines. It made me want to pick up a paperback copy so i could finish the story with out the narrator!

Could you see A Will and a Way being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I think sometimes stories are better appreciated in books than visually in movies or TV.

Just what you'd expect

It made the time pass. I was expecting more of a twist or turn, but all in all a good story. Simple and easy listening.

Cool story
