About this listen

A sexy small-town sheriff is the last thing a film director expects to find on his latest set in this novel of blockbuster attraction from number-one New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts.

Once Phillip Kincaid fixes his mind on something, he sets about getting it. When he's pulled over for speeding in Friendly, New Mexico, he knows the town is the perfect locale for his next film. And no-nonsense sheriff Victoria Ashton looks pretty perfect to him, too! But Tori's all business. With no interest in romance, she's giving Phillip a run for his money - making him all the more determined to show her that even a lady of the law can surrender willingly…to love.

Unworthy of Nora Roberts

What did you like best about The Law Is a Lady? What did you like least?

Very predictable and trite. I was very disappointed.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have not used the whole plot. The "The Law is a Lady" started out okay, but it was downhill from there.

Did Mikael Naramore do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

His reading was okay, but not great.

Do you think The Law Is a Lady needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No.

Good book

Good story. Some of the dialogue was dated. An enjoyable listen. I liked it worth listening to. Thanks for the story

Different Western

A little lighter, little more interesting. Narrator was very good, good voicing. Like it very much. Will listen, again.

Worst book I have read

The story started off good but slid into boring and predictable. The narrator has a horrible voice. His female voices sound like drag queens . Overall I found this very disappointing and tedious to listen to .

Wish I'd paid attention to the reviews!

OK, I read some bad reviews about the book - but it's Nora Roberts - couldn't be that bad. Wrong! Couldn't finish it. I've never felt this way about one of her books before. The blurb about the book sounded interesting, and since I had a free credit what the heck. Could not care about the characters, in fact they are completely aggravating. I get so disgusted with authors who write a supposedly strong female character and she just falls all over herself for a good looking douche. Aargh!!
