Some good, some bad

This is mostly an overview of HOW to prepare for the exam and what to expect before, during, and after down to extremely specific details such as if you are allowed to use the bathroom during the test and how to apply for a disability consideration. This can help alleviate anxieties about the exam beforehand and the day of and is very helpful in that aspect. It is NOT a review of facts that will be on the exam itself. On the other hand, the pdf guide also includes a practice exam which I found to be very poorly edited, and several of the questions so confusing that their meaning was unclear or just written in such a lazy manner that they are completely incomparable to an actual exam question.

not a good guide to those looking to prepare for test

I did not get the information to help in prep for test. most knowledge is basic and not geared toward successfully passing the exam.

Very helpful course!

Loved this crash course!!! This was such a helpful experience as each chapter prepares you for the exam. There's also a 170 question test at the end of the course. Continuous review will help.

Total waste of money

Don't bother. You're better off reviewing the ASWB manual and going into the exam. This does not give the information you would think it would.

No help at all

This “crash course” is awful. There is no content. It’s a waste of money. So disappointed. I want my credit back!

Not what it seems

Very limited content on any specific subject matters. Basically this book explains the rules for taking a standardized exam. You will need an appropriate prep course to study, one the goes into detail the materials you will be questioned on. I am upset that I lost valuable study time by listening to this. Learn from my mistake and do not waste your money or your time on this.

Not what I thought

This is a guide more so on how to take the test… i guess having a practice exam is nice but in terms of actually reviewing content and study prep on the exam?! Save your money… wish i did

Waste of Time!

This is basically a how-to take a standardized test book. It spends the first 4 chapters explaining what a social worker is and how to register for the exam. It does not review any course material or help you prepare for the content of the exam at all!

Avoid DO NOT GET

The content of the book the vast majority of it is stuff that you should already know like how to take a test what to do to prep for a test if you don’t know a lot of the stuff at this level you may want to consider something else. And there are far better test prepping items out there. The subject content is lacking and superficial

The included test is horrific.
About 1/3 of the questions are “jeopardy” question. As in who developed this theory. Which account for 25% at most on the test. And on the real test will account for about 15% of the questions.

There are questions without answers. The answers without question. Some answers are conflicting and make no sense. The amount of editing on the test portion is amazing. It reads like he was talking into a speech to text system. Then when done dictating called the editing good.
The chapter questions were equally bad and generally inane.

Do not waste your time with the “prep” your time is better spent elsewhere.
