Publisher's summary

Sarah Denning is a military journalist with the Army in the Middle East when her convoy is attacked and she's taken hostage. When former Army Ranger Gavin Black is asked by his old unit commander - Sarah's imposing father - to plan an extremely risky rescue, he reluctantly agrees and successfully executes it.

Back in the US, Sarah is livid when she's discharged on a false psychiatric evaluation and vows to return to the Army. Until she learns of her brother's suicide. Unable to believe her brother would do such a thing, she puts her plans on hold and enlists Gavin to help her discover the truth. What they uncover may be the biggest story of Sarah's career - if she can survive long enough to write it.

Strap in for another breakneck nail-biter from best-selling romantic suspense author Lynette Eason that will have you up listening long into the night.

Good read

The story started out a bit rocky. A lot of belligerence from the female lead but then things picked up & there was a good storyline. Enjoyed it very much.

Better than the First

Better than the first book in the series, both more believable and complex. The suspense keeps you listening.

Good Book

This was a pretty good book!! The female lead got on my nerves though!! I really dislike when the female lead is so head-strong that they don’t listen to reason, or “can’t be told what to do” and then find themselves in situations where they “drowning in fear”…….other than some sheer stupidity of the woman, this was a good book!

Drama, Excitement, Love

This story touched on many avenues of life, some we’ll only see through stories that are told. We’re able realize what terror is in another part of the world, then look evil in the face where we live. It takes us into family situations good and those that are not so good. We also see how fragile or strong relationships can play out between man and woman. It also lets us see the power of faith and prayer. This is well researched and written by Lynette Eason and Callie Beaulieu delivers expert narration.

Great Storyline

The storyline was great! It holds the readers attention with a captivating plot. It's so refreshing to have authors who don't succumb to the pitfalls of our immoral world & can write a story that isn't inundated by bad language & sex. Thank you!

Danger and relationships

I liked that Sara had issues and struggled with insecurity. I like how she was trying and able to work through them when she needed too . Enjoyed the relationships with Gavin and her father . Love conquers … always wins in the end … love to watch it unfold

Best of Series

The story was great in this book. When I read the blurb I didn’t know if I would like this one. It was the best of the series so far. Great characters! I also enjoyed the narration. I hope the next books can live up to this one.

2nd of 3 in series - Danger Never Sleeps

I really like this series & the mixture of suspense, romance & faith. Would have liked more of the faith parts & our human struggles with faith & God... they were uplifting. Now I'm ready to begin book 3 & hope there will be more books in the series. The only thing I'd like to fix is the repetitive "hitch" by the narrator at the end of sentences. It was distracting at times.
