Publisher's summary

This is book 2 in the New York Times and USA Today best-selling paranormal romance Accidentally Yours series.

"If you love her, set her free. If she comes back, she's yours. If she doesn't...Christ! Stubborn woman! Hunt her down, and bring her the hell back; she's still yours according to vampire law."

- Niccolo DiConti, General of the Vampire Queen's Army.

After a three-century "time out," legendary vampire Niccolo DiConti vows to fulfill an ancient prophecy and, along the way, defeat the demented queen of the damned. All he has to do is find his human mate, seduce her into agreeing to become a vampire, and bond her to him forever. Luckily, he's handsome, charming, and mind-blowing in bed. How hard could this be?

On vacation in sultry Mexico, biologist Helena Strauss makes the discovery of a lifetime when she meets Niccolo-and finds herself caught in a world of supernatural secrets and dangerous delights. Even more shocking is that he seems to know everything about her and claims her as his true immortal companion. Sure, she can't take her eyes-or mouth-off this gorgeous, perfect being. But can a hot-blooded gal like her really settle down with a cold-hearted vampire?

So much better than the first book!

Ahhh this book was much better than the first. The Heroine, Helena was a lot less stupid and whiny than Emma from the first book. The story line was good, the chemistry was good, there was plenty of dialogue. The hero was very sexy and smart. A nicely written sex scene too.

Oh and Cimil is great, Love her! Someone said she reminded them of Nucking Futs Nix from Kresley Cole Immortals After Dark series, and she does a little, The character is somewhat similar but of course Nix is still the very best.

This book was also NOT written in the first person which I think also made the book even better.

I have already started the third book and guess what?? Yep its written in the first person so we get all those constant thoughts and blah blah blah's again like the first book.. oh well..

As to the narrator, she is getting better and I really enjoyed her narration in this story a lot more than the first. She did better character voices and the men's voices sounded much better. Keep improving on that narration Helen Wick its paying off!

Credit worthy? Yes.

Good Series

This is a good series full of action and romance. The narrator does an awesome job. I hope that we hear more about Victor and Sentin.

3.5*...ETERNITY IS A LONG TIME IF YOU'RE NOT LOVED

I'll be honest, at the start of this I really didn't think I was going to like it - it sounded very YA but perseverance paid off in the end and it ended up being a fun filled light romance thanks mainly to the twisted humor and cryptic clues of Cimil Godess of the Underworld (very similar to Nucking Futs Nix from the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole).

Niccolo, the very handsome but arrogant Executioner for the insane and deadly Queen Reyna is depressed and wants out so seeks his prophecy by finding Cimil unknowing that she'll put him in a deep sleep for 300 years and only to be awakened by the blood and kiss of his true mate. In walks (or is mystically pulled) Biologist Helena a beautiful, feisty, 20+ yr old virgin and she falls madly in love... but Niccolo doesn't, lust yes but he just wants her to fulfil the prophecy and end his slavery but an unbreakable bond has been forged through myth and legends.

Helena feels betrayed and no longer wants to be just a pawn in his game so she walks out on him (sensible girl) determined to break the mate bond and this starts a mad cross country pursuit by Niccolo as she's not alone Andrus, a sexy Demilord, is not only with her but he's making his moves on her too. Jealousy, twists, not too graphic sex, betrayal, surprises, humor, snappy dialogue and action ensues. As Niccolo fights the sands of time he also fights for Helena, fights his Queen and makes a shocking discovery that changes everything for him.

Worth a credit? If you're a PNR lover in the mood for an enjoyable light, fun and humorous listen then look no further as this is definitely your book and yes creditworthy.

I dunno

this book took me a while to finish. the obvious gaslighting, Stockholm syndrome, and flip flops the story and characters go through is annoying at best. the "I love him but I hate him" got old really fast and the whole 12 week thing where he had to wait was a waste of time on the pages. they may as well not have been there at all. it was built up as a thing that was super important but ended up as a joke in the end. it felt like a cash out and scape goat as though the author got lazy and didn't want to make it a thing or the author forgot about that plot and had no way to close it.
I'm not mad that I bought the book as it was on sale. I just likely won't listen to it again because it held almost no interest for me because it was, in all honesty, boring. I only did finish it because I love the narrator. she's amazing at reading and giving life to the characters.

Not Great

I don't have high standards and I had a hard time getting through this. I finished listening to it because I have s hard time leaving a story unfinished.
i found the concept to be interesting but for a romance novel, I didn't find that there was a ton of romance. I also cringed at the humor especially when it interrupted the steamy scenes. There is one character in particular who was so cringey. She was written like an SNL parody: way over the top and silly.
The voice acting wasn't great either. I struggle listening to voice actors trying to do the opposite gender's voices in general but this narrator's male voices were *rough*. The male lead's "Italian" accent was really bad and there was a side character who legitimately sounded like cookie monster.
