About this listen

The year: 2157.

The mission: Change everything.

Seven Corporations control what was the United States of America. The food supply and its production are controlled by American AgCo. All agricultural seeds in the United States have been genetically designed to fail outside corporate control. At least, that’s what the Corporations say. There’s a rumor that a seed bank has survived the destabilization that brought down old America, and the 75 years of Corporate ownership that followed. If it still exists, it would provide free, accessible food for the Democratic State Force and everyone in their care. It’s a risky hunt for a treasure that may or may not exist. Something to put the most resourceful team in the force to work on. The Wildcards just got the call.

A hunt for hidden treasure.

Free food.

What could go wrong?

Never ask that question. Life’s a bitch. She’ll answer.

Darker yet true to the series

Another knockout! This book is a lot darker than the first three books of the series. But the story unfolds organically, and the joyful moments outweigh the moments of despair. As always, Kirt Graves knocks it out of the park.

Amazing story and brilliant narration

I really enjoyed this book. I think it's one of my favorites in the series and the narration brought it to a whole new level. Kirt Graves is brilliant as always and his narration made the hard scenes, the action scenes, and the emotional scenes to life and my emotions felt it. I felt this book on a deeper level than I did when I first read it and it's all thanks to the brilliance of the narrator. When the narration is able to take a book and not just read the story, but bring it to another level of experience, it's a wonderful thing. That's what this book achieved. I am so looking forward to the next book, especially with how harrowing and real it is.

They keep on getting better and better

Each book in the series so far has been better than the last. I love the character development with interesting twists for each character. I love that every character gets their own time in the spotlight where we learn a bit more about them each time. The story was intense and kept me wondering what was going to happen and who was going to snap. I still cannot decide who my favorite character is, they are all great!!
