Fantastic narrator!

I am SO happy to finally have Marsha Canham read. She is my favorite author in the genre. Her writing is the perfect balance of romance and literary and historical adventure. Truly enjoyable from start to finish. The narrator wonderfully acted the roles, easy to follow character voices both for the male and female characters. I will seek out other books read by this artist.

A Pirate Dog

Initially kind of slow for me, now that I'm finished, I find myself missing Beau and Dante. By the end of the book, I was hooked. The last few climactic chapters had me wanting more.

Roger Clark does pirate just as well as cowboy. His voice is so silky and smooth. Each character had a distinct voice. Easy to follow. Having a voice actor as a narrator is a blessing.

I'll be starting Book 2 very soon.

one of the best books I've listened to!

Written well, a story full of suspense, historical details and knowledge of the sea and ships.
The Romance actually subtly slips through. The characters are colorful and interesting especially Isabeau and Dante.
The Narration by Roger Clark adds to all of this with his deep voice and dramatic change between the characters.
Enjoyed every moment. Looking forward to listening to the rest of this series. Thank you Marsha Canham.

Wonderful series

I have read this series and the Robin hood series. The stories are one of the best written and plots of each one captivating. I am so happy to see the audio books become available. I have been reading romance for more than 50 years and these two series are excellent.

Excellent writing. Interesting story. Great narrator

The breadth and length of the author’s knowledge of ships and sailing is quite remarkable. Her knowledge of the historical period of which she writes is as well. All made the tale so much more enjoyable to hear.
Her characters were wonderfully detailed and never static but developed into very likable or disreputable characters as their personae were designed to be.
Roger Clark’s voice is most mellifluous and very well suited to narrate this story and made the read very enjoyable. I look forward to many more reads by Mr. Clark.

VT FAN.

I have over 11,000 audiobooks. I listen every day. I am also a huge fan of Marsha Canham and was so excited to see them in audiobook format. I could not get past chapter 2 because the narrator was terrible. She kept taking these huge deep loud breaths at the end of each sentence. incredibly annoying. If you do make the mistake of buy this audiobook, with this narrator, you will hear for yourself. What a big disappointment..
