Kept alive and imprisoned for 10 thousand years, Luther is the curse and the salvation of the Dark Angels made manifest. None are so close to the heart and history of the Chapter as the man that embodies all that was great about the First Legion and all that is shameful about the Dark Angels. In his story is writ the tale of the Horus Heresy and the fall from Enlightenment in a single long life. Glory, honour, pride, shame and betrayal weave a tapestry of truth and lies that the Supreme Grand Masters of the Dark Angels have sought to understand and unbind across 10 bloody millennia.

A life spent honing his skills and serving his country hasn’t turned out exactly how Nathaniel Abrams planned, but it’s attracted the attention of the Tower. Ascending to its peak is meant to give anyone whatever they wish for, but all Nate cares about is finding some way to use the skills that seem so useless in civilian life. And if he can prevent a magical wish being given to some maniac (because the Tower seems to love welcoming maniacs through its doors), then that’ll be a bonus. Besides, Nate has an edge.

Supers are spreading across the globe with no rhyme or reason. The governments declare war to keep the SuperVillains suppressed, but they don't stop there, fearing even those with good souls. Devon is a dentist with some quirks who saves a mother and her daughters, only to have the military betray him. He awakes in the future, confined to Vault 12 with nineteen of his peers. The mysteries confound those around him, but Devon is not an ordinary Super. No, he's special and with Olivia—a lovely Super with a troubled past—at his side, they'll figure out their true purpose.
