I am a true Nora Roberts fan. Have about 20 Audible books, but this one takes you to another place. First time a real diversity of characters. Definitely get this one !!

The monthly member sales page/deal Has this classic author and narrator on sale. Miss Roberts writes formulaic and if you enjoy the JD Robb series, then you will see many of the similar dialouge that the author puts in her stories in this book. I love the first six books in the JD Robb series and have listened to them again Every few years. So I took a chance on this classic story/series As audible said the series will continue next month on sale. This story did not disappoint

Affaire Royale is an early Nora book, but it has the romantic suspense that she known for. Bre (Princess Gabriella) reappeared after being kidnapped and now she has amnesia. Reeve MacGee, an ex-cop and an American. Reeve knew the royal family for years, so when Bre needed someone to protect her, he was tasked to do so. Reeve and Bre pushed and pulled at each other as they tried to find out who kidnapped Bre and Bre tried to regain her memories. Affair Royale was a quick, fake engagement, romantic suspense. It was different than what from Nora writes now, but no so much that it didn’t have her signature voice.

This read like a Harlequin romance book. Not up to Nora Roberts usual books. The characters were not especially likeable. You could see the entire plot a mile away. No twists and turns, basic blah. The only bright spot was Susan Erickson was the Narrator. She does such amazing job, even when there wasn't much to work with.
