About this listen

Lori Johnson makes her mark as an up-and-coming author with After the Dance - the delightful story of a budding romance. Thirty-something Faye thinks the notion of finding a "Mr. Right" is laughable, and has all but given up on the idea of true love. But Carl, the guy next door, feels otherwise. Little do they know it, but soon their lives will take a surprising turn.©2008 Lori D. Johnson (P)2008 Recorded Books,LLC Contemporary Contemporary Romance Romance

Frustrating

This was TRULY a frustrating book. As long as it was, you’d think that a lot would happen. You would however be wrong. It moved at a snails pace, and got about as far as a snail in a day. It wasn’t a bad story at all. I just wish it moved faster and fleshed out the character motivations better. And, I REALLY didn’t care for the female protagonist, Faye. Carl could’ve done WAY better. The narrators did a great job.

3 Times the Charm

The story seemed believable with this couple who has failed at love before. They came together carrying those deep hearted secrets & lots of displaced personality baggage. But you know I learned its those secrets that we said will never see the light of day, that will set us free forever. I chose this book because Ezra Knight & Caroline Clay two of my favorite narrators, together they brought all the characters to life, as they do in all their narrations.

No Real Significant Story Line

I always say that there is truth in fiction and enjoy most of the books I've listened to on Audible because they always leave me with a good thought of learning. I cannot say the same thing with this book. It was not entertaining and lacked a good story line.

As always, Ezra Knight and Caroline Clay did a great job narrating.
