Publisher's summary

RITA Award winner Irene Hannon has also won the Holt Medallion for her romantic suspense. In this pulse-pounding thriller, the White House orders elite FBI operator Evan Cooper to secure Monica Callahan from a terrorist threat. But since Monica refuses all calls from her senior diplomat father, she sees no need for his round-the-clock protection—until a chilling “message” leaves no doubt.

Great story, terrible performance

We like to listen to books while driving. This guy is like listening to a monotone teacher. Kept having to quit listening because we were falling asleep. That has never happened!

Christian and clean...

This Christian thriller was an easy read with well developed characters and an exciting plot. It was well-written and hard to put down. I highly recommend if you are looking for a clean romance with a touch of thriller.

Love this series

I've actually read this series before but I have recently gotten into audiobooks and wanted to listen to it. I thought the narrator did an excellent job with the voices of the terrorists.

Mostly Extraordinary

The story had the bad guys a little too simplistic and that made their perfect performance a little unbelievable. They also seemed to understand our culture a little too well. Which made the good guys look incompetent. I'm referring of course to when they didn't scan their luggage for bugs or have live communications at all times when the officer was on the back road or have high level security encryption on their camera feeds. (Malls have better security on their cameras than the FBI? No way!) But here's the thing overall the story was fantastic! And the performance dead on believable! That's what made me hold onto the entire series "Heroes Of Quantico ). Good work and a job well done!

Damsel in distress

The heroine has been estranged from her high-powered diplomat father for many years. Despite that terrorists include her in their demands, and she experiences frightening episodes. In the meantime, she and one of the members of hostage rescue team, assigned to protect her, are falling in love. The same pattern - an innocent woman is drawn into a nefarious plot without her consent or knowledge. Strong men, physically, mentally, and emotionally, come to the rescue. One of the rescue team stands out, and soon there is a romance. The stories are all the same with cosmetic changes, like what government agency the heroes are from, what the heroine does, and the identity and evil plan of the villain. Yet I continue to read them and enjoy them often.

Very Good Story - but too preachy in some parts

Very good story- plot definitely fits into today's political/ radical/ terrorist climate - so I didn't want to stop listening - I wanted to find out how it was all going to work out. But the preachy parts did take away from it for me & some parts, especially near the end were not as believable. I might have hesitated to buy it if I had known it was christian based - but over all I'm glad I listened to it.
