About this listen

Amateur sleuth Agatha Raisin is going through a man-hating phase and is unmoved by news of a captivating new curate. But when she meets the golden-haired, blue-eyed Tristan Delon, she is swept off her feet...along with every other female in the village. She is positively ecstatic when he invites her to dine with him, but the next day Agatha is left with a hangover from hell and Tristan is worse off: he's dead.

MC Beaton has done it again!

Loved it. One would never expect this visitor in her village and yet there he came. Anymore said would give up the story.

Great read

M.C. along with Penelope Keith's reading has certainly done it again. Can't wait to start the next Agatha Raisin.

I love this series

I love the main character and enjoy her “solving the crimes”. The other characters are fun as well.

M C Beaton Never Disappoints!

I love this series, as I do all of M C Beaton’s books. The audio versions are easier on my eyes.

I love Mrs. Raisin!

Reading Mrs. Raisin is always a charming tale teenage angst through adult life experiences. I love how MC Beaton leads us through Agatha’s own personal development and highlights her goodness through all her foibles, especially in this case. I found this book to be humorous, endearing and the mystery was well crafted.

Another fun mystery with Agatha. Such an easy and fun listen. I know one day I will come to the last one but it will be a sad day.

Agatha is a mixed blessing to Carslie.

Carslie becomes the epicenter for murder, beginning with the new curate who seemed to be a suspicious person. Agatha seems disheartened by investing, but still manages trouble. Her boredom drives her creativity to better heights for the community.
Since Agatha is still interested in relationships, I really hope she finds someone very good and compatible for, especially since James turned out to be a big jerk.
Agatha isn’t blameless, but she did try and he just turned to having an affair.

Best authentic character

Agatha raisin mysteries, have the most authentic character ever for an amateur 50ish woman. The storyline is complex enough while still being simple and the narrator does a wonderful job.
