The argument over the last donut. The cry of nothing to wear a half hour before school. The "I'm the only one whose parents make them...."

Teenage hassles that disrupt parents' lives? Or prime opportunities to connect with, listen to, and nurture our kids?

Wish I would have read this years ago.

Such a helpful book! So much encouragement for those raising teenagers but helpful for those who don’t have teenagers yet to prepare for the years to come.

Must read for parenting teens!!!

For starters, I loved that the author narrated the book himself. He knows this material so well and articulated exactly what he wanted to say and how he wanted it to come across. I have recommended this book to all of my friends and so many have been just as blessed by it as I was. It is a must read for a Godly, practical perspective on parenting and raising teenagers. I’ve also actually been able to apply a lot of the principles to parenting my younger kids. I feel more equipped going into them becoming teenagers in several years than I did walking into the season of my oldest daughter already being 16 as I read this book for the first time. I’m so grateful for it. Not only did he provide personal anecdotes, stories to illustrate his points, everything was based on scripture and had such a tone of encouragement and Godly, helpful perspective that just literally changed everything for me. Even if you only sit down and read bits and pieces of this book, you will not regret it. Every page had something to learn from it. So so good! I highly recommend it! So glad there is a book like this out there which does not tell us to throw our hands up and give up on our teens. This time of their lives is when they really need us so much, and this book explains that and how to practically lead them through this season as they are approaching their own start to adulthood. It also regularly brings us back to examining our own lives and hearts before the Lord, as often our frustration is not with them but with being inconvenienced by them and it reminds us to keep our hearts in check as well as we lead them in that way, back to the Gospel and Jesus.

So much insight!

This book opened my eyes to the ways I was wasting the teen years of my son. How I was forgetting the call of God on both of us. And how God has placed this child in my life and has provided all that I need for godliness. I had to realize my sin and false thinking in all of the issues. Of my own disrespect.
So much help and I already see changes!
