About this listen

Kyonna had wanted Rhys for as long as she could remember.

After coming home from college and starting her career, he was the only thing missing from her life.

Rhys is adjusting to being a retired NFL player. He's ready to settle down and start a family, but his issue is he hasn't found the right woman to be with.

When the opportunity presents itself, Kyonna takes matters into her own hands. Dressing up in a mask and finding her way into Rhys's bed seemed like a good idea until she was presented with a life-altering consequence. Now, she's forced to tell the truth or live in a lie without Rhys and their families finding out.

Rhys isn't prepared for how his life is about to change, and Kyonna is forced to woman up and face the music.

Would have liked a more complex extended story.
Maybe as book 2? Narrators were great!

Male narrator was excellent! Great emotion conveyed.

The story grabbed my attention from beginning to end. I also like the way the story was told. I can’t stand the voiceovers that sound like a robot but yet gives some emotion to the characters in the story.

A must read

The female lead was a spoiled brat and manipulative. she brought nothing to the table except her sex in my opinion. The male lead was a great character as you can see I think he's too good for her. Dragging out the big reveal and then telling him in such a way was a let down.

Narration was great.

Mismatched couple

I liked the story line. The way it all played out was nice. Glad neither had any regrets. Tay Monae is an author that has a way with telling the story to keep your attention.

No regrets

The FMC annoyed me the entire book. She was manipulative and spoiled. She didn’t get any consequences for her actions so she couldn’t have learned any lessons. Narration was great though.

Spoiled and manipulative

This was a twist at first I was like what., but then I fell into it. i don't like that Kyonna was so manipulative because she was spoiled it still not right. Rhys was so calm and collected. I do think he deserved better and Kyonna needs to really grow up and someone needed to put her in her place. We always get in older men for manipulation of younger women but the vice versa a young women manipulating a good man messy. I am glad it worked in the end. The narrators were great.

This was messy but I loved it
