Publisher's summary

Peaches Alexander is thrilled to receive an unexpected invitation to a weekend party given by the handsome, eligible Duke of Kenneworth. The only problem: Stephen de Piaget, a stuffy medieval studies scholar who seems determined to get in the way. Peaches has absolutely no desire to get involved with Stephen, until a quirk of fate sends her hurtling through time….

Stephen de Piaget has been leading a double life: respectable professor by day, knight-in-training during holidays and summer terms. When Peaches goes missing, Stephen knows he's the only one who can rescue her from medieval peril. Little do they know that the greatest danger they'll face won't be the business end of a sword, but their own unruly hearts….

narration one of the best, especially by a woman

Her mastery of accents and distinct voices was very enjoyable. what else has she done? I would gladly check out.

Great Story

The story was excellent and kept entertained. The narrator was not as enjoyable as Davina Porter. Fun overall. Thank you.

Another TWIST in Time

Would you listen to All for You again? Why?

I am a huge fan of Kurland's time travel novels. Having read /listened to all her previous in this series to date, I was especially curious what year/time/age she would be throwing her characters into in this book. I'm not sure that I would listen to this story again, only because I tend to remember plots and details, so there would be no more surprises....... but that's just me, I am the same with printed books as well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I enjoyed the character of Stephen Di Paiget. His struggle with his own identity, mostly he comes across as a very aloof and stuffy professor of medieval studies, but he keeps his sword fighting (very physical claymore lessons with the very medieval MacLeod's, Patrick and Ian: so nice to hear their voices) a secret. He has a great sense of humor, dry and misunderstood. Also his inability to converse with Peaches ( who he adores) constantly coming across a a pompous ass and putting his foot in his mouth, you just want to shake it out of him. He is charming and romantic.

Have you listened to any of Justine Eyre’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I enjoyed this narrator, she read at a easy pace, easy to understand and she brought the characters alive for me. Loved her accents, especially Ian Macleod. Previous audios of Kurland's ( can't remember narrator) were marred by a whiny irratating performance.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I love Kurland's romance, but I especially love her subtle sense of humor in stressfull situations. Peaches is accidentally swept into a time in the past, Stephen follows her shortly after, perparing to save her. While he is fending of SEVERAL very dangerous attackers with a small fencing sword he grabbed from modern time..... at the same time he is trying keep them both alive Peaches, who didn't know that the snotty professor could do anything physical, is shouting questions at him about: since when did he learn to use a sword and why didn't he tell her etc. etc. etc. Stephen is shouting back at her, over his shoulder, that he can't possibly answer all her questions since he is "slightly busy" at the moment. Classic Kurland!

Any additional comments?

If you are a Kurland Fan, you will love this audio. You will not be disappointed, even if you were with previous narrators, like I was.

Knight in shining tweed!

What made the experience of listening to All for You the most enjoyable?

This isn't my favorite book in the series, but it is a nice story about two lovable characters & their attempts at finding love. There is a little sword-play, some silly insults, lots of jabs at wardrobe choices, and of course some time travel. If you enjoy that sort of romance, then this book is for you. As with any of Kurland's other books, I love the story. I already feel I know the characters from previous books and I'm happy to hear their individual tales. I suppose there isn't much I don't like about this series of books, other than there aren't enough available through audible.

What was one of the most memorable moments of All for You?

It looks as if Robin might actually be getting used to the idea of paranormal oddities. He has some fun with his visitors this time around.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Justine Eyre?

Yes, I would & have before as well. I would just make sure it's almost entirely a cast of British characters. In this book, she didn't distinguish the Americans from the Brits. It was difficult to listen to Peaches, Tess & even Zachary speaking with distinctive English accents. It got on my nerves a bit, but it's still an excellent book.

Any additional comments?

As with most Kurland's books, this is again PG to PG-13. If you're looking for lots of bedroom action, you might want to keep looking.

Lynn delivers with a Jane Austin flare.

Struggled with this book in print, but audio version was easier to follow and laugh along with Stephen, Peaches, and the people surrounding them with love.

Good listen ~ I enjoy Lynn Kurland's time travels

What made the experience of listening to All for You the most enjoyable?

The characters ~ visiting w/ ones I'd met in past books, getting to know Stephen & Peaches again, and time traveling with them into the past

What did you like best about this story?

How Stephen got all tongue tied around Peaches, even though he was such a suave, debonaire man about town.

Have you listened to any of Justine Eyre’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes! Lovely. I thought some of the men could have been a little more masculine, but she did an amazing job

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Travel to places you could only imagine in your wildest dreams

Any additional comments?

Just that it was a nice, feel good romance. I enjoyed it and liked catching up, and loved Stephen & Peaches.

Awesome! Great Read and even better Listen!

Where does All for You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks very near the top! I enjoy this genre and Lynn Kurland is a favorite author. I have almost all of her books!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Of course Stephan! He has fascinated me since I first read of him, he is not your obvious hero; but that is why I like him!

Which character – as performed by Justine Eyre – was your favorite?

And again, Stephen!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Oh, Yes! I read it one day! And almost listened to it in one sitting; but I had to stop for school!

Any additional comments?

I have always wanted to hear Kurland's books in audio and I got the chance with this one which is one of my favorite of her De Piaget (I hope I spelled that right) series!
